The healthcare industry is an interdisciplinary field and is currently undergoing great changes. The 9th annual Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Healthcare will be occurring in November 2012. The following positions are available. Note that it will be possible for two or more people to share each of these positions.  The Speakers Coordinator will work closely with the Chairs to put together the line-up of keynote and seminar speakers for the conference. In 2013 we are also keen to organize several hands-on workshops for delegates, and one or more Speakers Coordinators may be in charge of this specifically.  The Sponsorship Coordinator will acquire funding for the conference. This will be done by working with our current corporate partners and by contacting new sources of funding, including: corporate, organizational, government, academic, etc. They will also work with Marketing on the Information Fair.  The Marketing Coordinator will, along with the External Relations Coordinator, work on marketing projects to expand the conference at the national level and across various faculties at Queen’s. They will also manage CUCOH’s social media outlets, including Facebook and Twitter (in coordination with the Web/Registration Manager). They will also assemble the Information Fair held at the conference, where delegates get the chance to learn about academic, volunteer, and job opportunities in healthcare.  The External Relations Coordinator will be responsible for hiring, communicating, and maintaining relations with external Ambassadors of the CUCOH Ambassador Network, which consists of representatives from external universities in attendance at CUCOH. The coordinator will work on marketing projects to expand the conference at the national level.  The Publications Coordinator will be responsible for establishing an image for the conference unique to CUCOH 2013, which will be displayed through posters, information packages, media relations, and oncampus promotional items. Multimedia experience and familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is recommended.  The Research Coordinator will be responsible for the research competition held during CUCOH. This competition involves student researchers giving oral and poster board presentations to delegates and being reviewed by a group of experienced judges. The role of research coordinator may include, but is not limited to, promoting the competition, organizing competitors, recruiting judges, and handling the

marking scheme and distribution of prizes.  The Social Activities Coordinator will be responsible for planning, promoting, and executing all of the networking events during the conference including the Friday night registration/social and the Saturday night banquet. They will also be responsible for planning team-building social events for the Executive.  The Web and Registration Manager will be responsible for updating the website regularly and ensuring the functionality of online registration leading up to the conference. Familiarity with file sharing systems and website design/maintenance is preferred. In 2013 we are interested in building a new website home for CUCOH so strong web design experience is desirable.  The Logistic Officer will be responsible for hotel booking for external delegates and speakers, catering the weekend, and obtaining the necessary IT/AV equipment for the conference. Strong organization and communication skills are very important.  The Secretary will be responsible for attending all meetings and creating minutes. The Secretary works closely with the Chairs by aiding in any administrative tasks and acting as a liaison with the rest of the executive team.
