ENGLISH IS FUN II by Lily Huzdup

Multumesc anticipat!

LESSON 24 Made in Romania Ex. 1. Read or listen: Tom, Bill, Laura and Mary gathered their families and decided to offer Brisky a goodbye evening in a Romanian traditional way. They went to Mary’s grandparents, in the country. They were welcomed by the old people in a traditional way with bread and salt on a white towel. After that, they went inside. Grandma laid the table, and there one could see all the traditional Romanian dishes: maize with cheese, chicken soup, meat rolled in cabbage and sponge cake for dessert. They drank fresh milk and ate fruit directly from the trees. Brisky was amazed. He said he liked it so much that he didn’t want to leave anymore. But he had to. He thanked them all very much for the marvelous moments spent together and for everything that they had taught him. He received a goodbye present: a hand made jumper to wear when it was cold on Dreamland and when he wanted to remember them. He kissed them all and he simply disappeared. ☺New words!
