What is the best part about your job?
The relationships that I have made over the years and the satisfaction of making people happy with their purchases. It may be one bottle of wine or an entire home full of furniture, but when I receive repeat business it makes it all worth the time and work. Everyday is a new adventure and an opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world.

you need to delegate to others. Always have a back up plan and keep a good sense of humor when it comes to juggling many balls in the air. Never settle for less than what you really want to achieve. Give your customers more than they expect and they will always return.

What is your day like?
Every day is different, and thats why I love my job. I spend a lot of time communicating: face-to-face, on the phone, and in lots of meetings. In general, I plan, implement, maintain, and grow various aspects of the business while also reviewing budgets and operations, cultivating palliative medicine and hospice services, and developing new programs, such as CareLink (to bridge the territory between home health care and hospital care) and PACE (to provide seniors a daytime program with health care and social interaction). I also work closely with our CEO, Dave Clarke, on executing our overall strategic plan as we seek to diversify our business and expand its footprint.

His greatest contribution was teaching me that I could trust him without reservation, and gaining that freedom was critical to my professional growth. He modeled all of these life-enhancing concepts and talked often about how to handle particular situations. He actively taught me how to be a better leader and person.

What advice would you give What do you look forward to when you to go work each day? women looking to get ahead?
I look forward to interacting with the staff, patients, families, and our community partners. I watch our staff on a daily basis, and they make me want to do better and be a better person. Theres so much compassion in each of them. Theyre what make us so different. The heart and commitment of our employees to patients and their families is like nothing Ive ever seen before. It energizes me every day.
To be honest, to work hard, and to know and really understand the concept and purpose of what youre doing. Thats a huge thing for me. If youre passionate and authentic, people will respond favorably. I would also recommend a constant quest for learning and a desire to understand people.

We work with each person to customize their treatment. The best compliment is when clients come in and tell us they have gotten compliments from their family, friends and coworkers about their skin. I am also exhilarated every time I see students grasp concepts and begin to implement them.

At the time it was just a game and made our time at the rink somehow more exciting. What is your day like?
OH my, my day is always different and normally non-stop from the time my feet hit the oor until my head hits my pillow! I can say I look forward to what challenges I face day-to-day from issues with inspections to seeing the smiling faces of my clients that have sold/ purchased the home they have grown to love. Family. Being a wife and mother of two small children keeps me on my toes. If I didnt have the help of my husband, family and friends I couldnt do all that I do. I take pride in my clients and during the process of selling or buying we become very close. There isnt a time that I feel Im not on call! I had always wondered how doctors did it - and now Im only getting a small dose of the call schedule.
