Energy Efficiency Incentive Programs for New Construction Projects

Met-Ed, Penelec, Penn Power and West Penn Power offer incentive programs for commercial and industrial new construction projects. These programs are available to eligible* commercial and industrial customers who install high-efficiency equipment. You can start saving money and energy today.
Program Descriptions This program offers incentives to install high efficiency lighting equipment, for new construction, new addition and retrofit projects. This program is intended for HVAC equipment used for ambient cooling only, for both existing and new construction projects.. This program offers incentives to install new NEMA Premium motors up to 200hp and for Variable Speed Drives (VSDs). This program offers incentives to install high-efficiency refrigeration, strip curtains, ENERGY STAR refrigerators, freezers & other specialty equipment (see the program website for details) This program offers incentives for retrofits and new construction projects that include technologies and/or customer specific energy efficiency projects that do not meet the eligibility criteria for other business programs. Incentive Flat rate per fixture for certain measures (see the program website for details); all other measures at $0.05 per kWh saved.

Use the application forms and supplementary worksheets found on our program website - there are no separate forms for new construction projects. Funds are limited, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify, equipment must have been purchased on or after October 28, 2009.
