Happy Valentines Day! We will be closed for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 18. We will reopen on the 19 with regular hours. Inclement Weather Closings If the weather is bad and the roads are not safe to travel on be sure to call the library at 603-755-2944 before heading out. We want to keep our staff and patrons safe and we are happy to renew materials for you. You may self-renew online or by email (circulation@goodwinlibrary.org). We do not charge late fines for days that we are closed. Farmington Film Society Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 6:00 PM This month we will be showing Pitch Perfect. Follow college freshman Beca (a delightful Anna Kendrick) as she decides to join her schools a cappella women's singing group. Alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. March Film Date Change Wednesday, March 6 @ 6:00 PM In March, our last film will be a week early due to Town Meeting and we will be showing Argo, the acclaimed Oscar nominated movie about the Iran hostage situation and the daring rescue of six fugitive American diplomatic personnel hiding out at the residence of the Canadian Ambassador. It is a thrilling, edge of the seat experience and not one you want to miss. Please note: These movies contain adult content and language. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 18. Get your copy at the library, now, to take part. This month, bring your favorite titles to discuss.

Goodwin Library Writers Group Wednesday Feb. 27 at 6:00 PM Whether you are a poet, a memoirist, a playwright, author of fiction or non-fiction or even a singer / songwritercome share your work. FREE TAX ASSISTANCE The Goodwin Library is pleased to offer FREE tax assistance to those whose adjust gross income is $57,000 or less. The Library is offering this program through the VITA tax program. Appointments are available both at the Library and at the Rochester Community Center. Please call 755-2944 x2 for more information and to make an appointment. TAX FORM DELAY: Due to the late passage of the 2012 tax laws, the IRS has delayed the printing of many tax forms, and in particular, the tax form instruction books. The Library is receiving daily updates from the IRS regarding the release and shipping of these forms and instructions. As of Feb. 7, we were notified that the 1040 Instruction Book was uploaded online at www.irs.gov, but there was no shipping date for the printed copies. We strongly suggest that you call 755-2944 x2 to ensure that we have received the forms that you are looking for. Please note that the IRS does post all forms as they are updated on their website and that these forms can be accessed online at the Goodwin Library. Check out our new display Blind Date with a Book! The staff have wrapped some of their favorites in plain white wrappers with tidbits of the books characters and personalities. Choose your "best match" and take the book home for a "date". PS: We'd love to hear how your "date" went!

He has a male nurse, Nathan, who looks after all his medical needs, drugs, etc. It's easy to understand why Will might be depressed and sarcastic to Lou, who tries to fill the days with offers of tea and cleaning his rooms. Is there hope for these two to come to some sort of peaceful co-existence? I will say that this is a wonderful, heartbreaking book. The author draws you into Lou's and Will's lives and they become people whom you come to care very much about. Be warned! There will be much crying but also laughs, as we get to know Lou's warm, devoted and supportive family. "Me Before You" is a love story you can believe in and one that is very highly recommended! Check this one out! Community Public Hearing: 2013 Town Budget Friday, February 15, 6:00PM Selectmans Office- Town Office Bldg. We urge all community members to attend and better understand how their tax dollars are budgeted. This is your opportunity to ask questions and provide input as to how your tax dollars are being spent.

Valentines Day Book Review From the Militant Recommender Book Review Blog: http://militantrecommender.blogspot.com/ A Different Kind of Love Story: "Me Before You" by JoJo Moyes Will Traynor was a dashing, handsome, dynamic corporate guy, loving rock climbing, company takeovers and beautiful, sexy women. Until, one day, something happens that totally alters his fast-track life. Louisa Clark (Lou) is a 26 year old woman who has spent the past 6 years working at a local cafe, living at home with her parents and sister and nephew and dating a man whose passion for extreme sports might be stronger than his passion for her... as, after 7 years he still hasn't proposed, or even asked her to move in. Then, Lou is laid off work. The cafe is closing. Louisa's paycheck helps keep her family afloat as things look iffy for her Dad's job, as well. Time to hit the job center. Louisa turns down several suggestions from her job adviser who finally suggests "care assistant". Despite her reservations Lou decides to interview for this position, care giver to a quadriplegic, a man confined to a wheelchair. She arrives at the interview and is met by the man's mother. It's a posh house and grounds and the woman looks at Lou, who is a "creative dresser"... and decides to try her out as she thinks Lou's chattiness will be good for her son, Will Traynor. Yes, Will! That Will. He is now trapped in a body that
