PROJECTS Vegetation Changes in Recife, 1986-2006 Used NDVI to retrieve information from Landsat 5 TM datasets depicting the change of greenery in the coast of Recife, in Northeast Brazil, during a 20-year period. Gazetteer of Historical Placenames in Northeast Brazil Generated a geodatabase containing the names of places visited by the travel writer Henry Koster in Northeast Brazil from 1809 to 1813. Georeferencing Historical Maps Georeferenced maps depicting towns in Northeast Brazil for an infrastructure GIS project. Web Mapping Applications Exported maps and ArcGIS shapefiles to KML and created web mapping applications using Javascript and Google Maps.
