RESPONSIBILITIES OF INDIVIDUAL TEACHER: 1. Inform all students that if an emergency occurs during snack or lunch that they are to report to the spot of the Homeroom teacher. 2. P.E. teachers immediately lock gates. 3. Ascertain the extent of injuries and capabilities for class evacuation. 4. Determine the need of assistance for neighboring buddy. 5. Assess student injuries. If a student is critical, remain with student, but send other students to EAA with buddy. Otherwise evacuate and sweep and rescue will return for injured. 6. Evacuate classroom using predetermined routines to specific station at EAA. 7. Take roll and report class status. 8. Supervise and reassure students throughout the duration of the emergency, such as relaxation techniques. 9. Ensure that students remain in class line at EAA until released to authorized adult or directed to return to classroom or

FUNCTION D. SWEEP AND RESCUE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY TEAMS

First Team

1. Get master key from Principal. 2. Check with partner for key. 3. Proceed in orderly and preestablished sweep pattern, checking each classroom, storage room, auditorium, etc., visually, vocally, and physically. 4. Report the location of all injured students and staff to First Aid team. 5. Place an X with chalk on all doors or rooms checked and found to be empty and lock those doors. 6. Write H for help on door with tape. Leave door open or unlocked. 7. Report injured to First Aid area. 8. Report to Principal those found, their condition, and hazardous areas. 9. Prioritize list of injuries to transport to First Aid area 10. Return for injured. If bodies have no vital signs, leave them

FUNCTION E. CAMPUS SECURITY TEAM

RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Lock all external gates, and doors, and secure school ASAP. 2. Post signs. 3. Close gas lines and water if necessary. 4. Check Cafeteria to be sure its covered. 5. Get water cups to Medical & First Aid area. Then, to student EAA. 6. Route fire and rescue, ambulance, and police to area of need. 7. Close electrical lines in cafeteria area. 8. Report to Reunion Gate to greet parents (Reunion Gate) 1. Reports to Reunion Gate to greet parents

REUNION GATE 1. Check with teacher buddies for their attendance cards. 2. After attendance is taken, and search and rescue is complete, immediately begin the process of reuniting students with their parents or guardians. 3. Locate with student schedule.

Determine need for medical assistance. 4. Work with Search and Rescue Team in getting injured students to FAA. 5. Keep track and record time and location to which injured students/staff are transported and report information to the Reunion Gate. 6. Notify principal of students in 1st aid area and in crisis area.
