CURRENT ELITE FIELDS THE WOODLANDS MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON


THE WOODLANDS, TX (February 18, 2013) Listed below is the current elite athlete roster, through Saturday, February 16, for the Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Marathon and the St. Lukes The Woodlands Half Marathon, to be held here Saturday, March 2, 2013. Seven (7) former United States Olympic Womens Marathon Trials participants, including six in the womens half marathon field alone, are among the many highlights of this years elite rosters. Defending womens marathon champion Camille Herron, 30, of Warr Acres, Oklahoma was the fastest of the six participants of the 2012 Trials, which were hosted in Houston, where she finished 26th in 2:37:14 a personal best time that she narrowedly missed by four seconds in last years The Woodlands Marathon. Louisville, Colorados Alex Blake led the five others in 44th with a 2:40:36 finish followed by Minneapolis, Minnesotas Jenna Boren (63rd, 2:43:04), Rochester, Michigans Jackie Rzepecki (74th, 2:44:36), The Woodlands Heather McNiff (92nd, 2:46:23) and Boulder, Colorados Molly Pritz, who dropped after going 1:09:31 through the first 12 miles. The Woodlands Kimberly Mac Namee, 41, who won the Aramco Half Marathon (1:25:50) last month in Houston, competed in the 2004 Trials in St. Louis, Missouri after two of her three career finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
