NC-Charlotte Job description The Director, Data Warehouse is a member of the Enterprise Data & Information Management team.

This position will be responsible for driving an enterprise view of investments around enterprise data warehouse and corporate performance management. This will be based on a consolidation of input from a variety of business sources, alignment with corporate strategy, knowledge of leading industry practices and trends, and a broad vision of company business operations and enablement. The Data Quality Manager will also provide day-to-day management of the DQ Program (project management, status reporting, resource management, risk management, benefit tracking) for project delivery. Accountabilities Work with Enterprise Data & Information Management team and Data Stewards objectives and direction Manage a multi-terabyte Teradata data warehouse platform. Oversee the data warehouse architecture and develop the global data warehousing strategy Manage the data warehouse infrastructure design, implementation and support using a variety of methodologies Lead the development of server architecture for the enterprise data warehouse and data marts Lead a team to improve inefficient SQL queries, streamline data access, remove data redundancy and increase ETL performance to reduce outages and increase data warehouse up-time Perform capacity planning and growth statistics to determine best architecture to accommodate current and future growth Work with 3rd party vendors to develop proposals and cost estimates and present hardware/software options to senior management as needed Be an integral part of the senior technology management team Serve as liaison between DQ Program leadership and the Data Quality business stewards Develop and publish enterprise data quality scorecard. Functional Skills Knowledge of Business Unit's functions and processes (finance, operations, sales and service, etc.) Knowledge of data quality, data management and data testing strategies and practices Business and IT liaison capabilities; working with complex business requirements and processes Systems analysis, database aptitude Understanding of BI presentation tools used in scorecard and dashboards Desired experience in the Financial or Insurance industry Technical Skills Deep knowledge and expertise with Teradata Platform Knowledge of and strategic vision for 'data availability' Experienced in the development and delivery of large scale enterprise IT solutions Experienced with vendor management, selection and contracts Expert ability to provide technical recommendations for optimized data access, data flow and retention Proven ability to provide oversight and support to design, development and QA teams Experience with Data Quality, Data Governance, IT Data Strategy, Enterprise Data Modeling, Data Architecture, and BI Strategy Must have expert knowledge of data warehousing structures (RDBMS, Snowflake/Star schema, OLAP) Advanced knowledge with major ETL tools such as Informatica, Datastage, SAS and their administration

Proficient in with major BI Reporting tools such as Business Objects, Hyperion, Cognos, SAS and their administration Experience using major OLAP tools (Oracle BI, Hyperion, and/or SAS) and data modeling tools (Erwin, Data Architect, Oracle Designer) Proven track record of successfully working in both large organizations (with cross-functional teams) and start-up environments Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into business solutions Experience in IT Management Consulting highly preferred! Required Proficiency in: Data Integration Toolsets (IBM Data Stage, Informatica Power Center, etc.) RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata) MS Project, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint Enterprise Applications (Siebel, Sunguard OMNI, Peoplesoft ) Preferred Proficiency in: Oracle BI presentation tools used in scorecards and dashboards Management Skills Project management; data quality concepts around profiling and cleansing; knowledge about the business processes that produce data; data quality metrics experience; system development lifecycle knowledge and experience Performs work with minimal supervisory direction Teamwork skills Build and sustain stakeholder ownership and commitment People/facilitation skills - expectations management, obtaining buy-in/consensus, negotiating solutions, resolving conflict Anticipate and handle critical situations Demonstrated data analysis results packaging and presentation skills Strong written and oral communication skills Analyze and solve poorly defined or ambiguous problems Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in a business discipline, Engineering or Computer Science/ Management Information Systems or equivalent experience. Location: NY-New York As a liaison between the Technology and Operations area and its internal investment management clients as well as external third party clients, the ApplicationsAnalystis responsible for identifying the business needs of clients and stakeholders to help define technology solutions to business problems. Will work directly with project leaders to identify and define business issues, to build business cases and lead the development of the Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), test plans and other SDLC artifacts that ensure adherence to both internal and external SDLC compliance. The analyst will have regular direct

interaction with Portfolio Managers and Asset Managers in Global Real Estate and Global Private Markets teams, Directors and other stakeholders in the Client organization; as well as Investment Accounting staff. Responsibilities: Senior team member to establish and build-out the TIAA-CREF Asset Management Global Real Estate & Global Private Markets Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence platform.

In partnership with other team members and other teams, facilitate the concept phase for all ITenabled initiatives: Document current and future state business process and information flow maps Perform root cause analysis to identify current state process inefficiencies Develop qualitative and quantitative business cases for process improvements and automation initiatives Develop detailed BRDs and FRDs from discussions with business clients Partner with the development Manager and other Senior BAs to develop solution alternatives for business requirements Develop Quality Assurance Plans to set quality parameters and expectations for deliverables Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) activities to ensure quality of the end user deliverables Gain knowledge, as it relates to client business processes and the current business environment in which they operate in Strong knowledge/experience in one or more SDLC methodologies BS in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred A minimum of 4 years experience in the areas of business requirements analysis and gathering, and business process engineering in a client facing role Experience with Commercial Real Estate business concepts (Property Management, Accounting, Portfolio Management, etc) Experience with Commercial Mortgage, Private Equities & Alternative Investments businesses will be highly valued Experience with technology tools that support Commercial Real Estate businesses (Yardi, MRI, CTI, Argus, Kardin, etc), and Commercial Mortgage and Private Equity front/middle/back office platforms Demonstrated ability to analyze and define business problems, develop business cases, and identify appropriate process and technological solutions is essential Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio Functional experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Oracle BI, Actuate, Cognos Business Objects a plus Functional experience with ETL development tools such as Informatica or Data Stage a plus Experience with Quality Center or other quality assurance product suites Ability to understand and align IT Architecture and business strategy with business solutions Knowledge of relational database concepts Experience with Lean-Six Sigma methodologies a plus
