AETpersonneldidvideopipeinspectionwithdigitalimagingtechnologyforTugalooPipeline,IncinBarrow County,GA.WewereabletoshowtheinternalstructureofallnewlyinstalledpipesfortheWater&Sewer Authority.Thedigitalimagingequipmentandsoftwareallowviewingofeachsectionofpipefrommanholeto manholewhilecontinuingtoinspectothersections.Thispipeinstallationwasfoundtobecleanandproperly installed.

AETpersonneldidvideopipeinspectionforTugalooPipeline,Inc.inPickensCounty,SC.Weinitiallysimply videoedthispipelineprojectfindingthatajointthatwasbeneathacreekbedhadbecomemisalignedand neededattention.Wealsofounddebrisinasectionofpipethathadoccludedtheflowandhadtobe removed.Welaserprofiledthispipeinstallationtoshowthattheovalitywaswithinspecifiedparametersand thecapacitywouldbeat<98.5%.Theengineeringfirmhadtroubleviewingtheimagingbecauseitwasanew imagingfiletypeandourITstaffconvertedthefilessothattheycouldbeviewedevenbyoldercomputer equipment.

AETpersonnelworkedwithGreenvilleWaterSystemtoidentifyandlocatepipelinemeetingandcrossinga watermainproject.Withthisequipmentwecansendavideocameraorrobotintopipingassmallas1in diameterandaslargehas60.Thesonarequipmentcanprofilepipingmanyfeetindiameterwithouthaving toemptythepipeofliquid.

AETpersonnelworkedwithTheUnderwritersGroup,abondingcompany,inFlorida.TheFloridaDOT requiresthatallpipingthatiswithintheDOTrightofwaybevideoinspectedandlaserprofiled.Theproblem herewasthatthepipingcontractorhadalloweddeliveryofheavyequipmentandithadbeenunloaded directlyabovejustlaidpiping.Thecontractorneverassumedthattheweightofthevehicleshadcaused severecollapseofthenewlylaidpiping.Thiswasfoundwithourvideoinspectionandthroughthelaser profilingwecouldtelltheextentofthedamage.Thissectionoftheprojecthadtoberemovedandreplaced. Itwasacostlyerrorforthecontractor.
