Marie Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland at 7th of November 1867. Her full name was Marja Skodowska-Curie.

She was born in a rich family. But when Poland was colonized, her family went poor. Marja and her siblings were pushed to work hard. Marja and her elder sister Bronja had the dream to have a high education degree. But the strict rules of Poland didnt allow her to . Marja wont give up, she joined an underground university community. The community was created by a group of Youngman that seeks to learn . In the period of their learning, the idea to study abroad came to Bronja and Marjas mind. But because their family economical condition only Bronja was allowed to go and study medical in Paris while Marja stayed in Poland to support her family economy and work as a home tutor. They had the promise that if one day Bronja has finished her study and work, she will be the one supporting Marjas university fee. So, a few years later, Marja came to Paris and started her study in physics and finished it with the best score there. She went back to Poland afterward. Her father saw her big interest in science and math, so he sent her back to Paris to study math. In her second study, she fell in love and married her lecturer Pierre Curie and had two child named Irine and Eve. after her marriage she was commonly known by the name Marie Curie. Both Pierre and Marie have a big interest in science problems the invention o x ray became their turning point. The x ray mechanism is still not fully understood yet. It emits a strange unknown kind o ray that makes it able to penetrate solid. That strange ray is also found in Uranium. Both Pierre and Marie have a big interest in science problems. And so, their research began. They found out the fact that the strange ray was also found in several other substances. That makes it inappropriate to name the ray uranium ray. So they named it radioactive. They soon discovered the way to extract the source of the ray they named the extract: radium and polonium, in the honor of Maries homeland, Poland. Actually, theyre able to gain a lot of profit by registering their invention and made it patented. But they believe that knowledge is the right of every human, so they wont do it and sticked to their way of living in simpleness. Those inventions brought Marie as the first woman with the honorable title of Physics. On 19th of April 1906 Pierre died because of a traffic accident. On the

other hand, Maries career continues to shine. She was listed as the first woman to give a lecture in Sorbonne University. Marie was also awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry (she was the first person ever to receive the Nobel Prize twice). Marie was appointed as director of the radium institute in Paris. During World War I, Marie regulates procurement units of X-rays to deal with victims of war, and educate 150 operators. Meanwhile, the understanding of the radioactivity is growing rapidly, while his daughter, Irene, and her husband Frederic Joliot, French nationals Physics scientists managed to find artificial radioactivity.
With the limited knowledge on radioactive Marie never knew that the he radiation of radioactive was actually able to cause a dangerous tumor and cancer. On Passy, Haute-Savoie, France 4 July 1934 she died because of Cancer. Later on, her invention developed and became the base of new and better technologies. In the medical world, the invention of radioactive is useful for tumor and cancer therapy. In archeological world, it is used to determine the age of fossils. It helps the development of nuclear as the futures power generation source. And it is used to modify the genes of plants to produce new superior varieties. With all those contribution in the science world, Marie became one of the most shining woman scientist of all time.
