OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
Project 58
Word of Life sponsors an apartment with Hillcrest Ministries in St. Joseph. Hillcrest is a 90-day transitional housing program that helps homeless families achieve self-sufficiency. In exchange for rent-free housing, residents are required to work full time and attend classes in life skills, employment, budgeting, etc. We are using this past week's Project 58 funds to prepare for our next family. Within the next month, a Word of Life team will meet the new family, take them a meal, and encourage them as they start the program. Church members and teams regularly volunteer at Second Harvest in a variety of ways. New opportunities are available now. Contact Megan at the church office for more information.

EVENTS
Spring 2013 Small Groups
Our next small groups begin this Sunday, March 3. A great way to make friends and grow in the Christian faith together, our spring small groups will feature several sermon study groups. Well also offer topical groups such as Prayer School with Pastor Brian, Divorce/Relationship Recovery, Spiritual Parenting with Pastor Alan, Healthy Boundaries, and Scrapbooking Fiesta. To join a small group or for more information, check out the foyer table for our spring small groups catalog, contact the sermon study small group leader, or sign up in the foyer this weekend. The group leader can answer questions, provide you with further instructions, and provide directions to where the group will meet.

Almighty God, you know that we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies and inwardly in our souls, that we may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
