Administrative Project Increase(s)
In accordance with the policy approved by the Board of Trustees, administrative approval was obtained to increase the budget for the following project(s): Baruch Marine Field Laboratory Roof/Mechanical Replacement The project budget for the Baruch Marine Field Laboratory Roof/Mechanical Replacement was increased by $49,500. The project to replace the roof was bid with two components. The base bid to replace the membrane roof systems and the alternate to replace the asphalt shingle system exceeded the construction budget. It is important that both components of the roofing system be replaced at the same time to ensure a water tight system. The increase was required to provide adequate funding to award the total construction contract and to provide a construction contingency. The increase was funded with Institutional funds from the College of Arts and Sciences and resulted in a total budget of $544,500 funded entirely with Institutional Funds from the College of Arts and Sciences.
