  Overall  Responsibilities:    Assist  the  Manager  of  Anacostia  Arts  Center  in  all  aspects  of   administration  and  marketing  activities,  as  well  as  be  responsible  for  pop-­‐up  gallery,  Blank   Space.       ROLES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES:   Manage  Creative  Rental  Space.  Includes  taking  calls/emails,  schedule  tours  and  giving  tours   and  tracking  availability     Update  all    websites  (blogger)  and    all  Social  media  and  promotion  for  Blank  Space  SE  and  the   Arts  Center   Keep  track  of  all  expenses  and  budget     Create  and  implement  a  marketing  plan  to  attract  more  renters   Meet  and  Greet  customers  and  clients  of  Anacostia  Arts  Center;  includes  gaining  a   comprehensive  understanding  of  each  gallery  space  and  all  projects  related  to  Arts  Center   Assist  in  planning,  implementation  and  oversight  of  exhibits  (when  Blank  Space  SE  is  not   rented)     Researching  for  press  release  material   Researching  new  marketing  and  advertising  opportunities   Assisting  in  listing  events  on  free  websites   Maintain  a  photo  archive  through  the  use  of  DROPBOX  and  Googledocs  system.   Assist  with  special  events,  workshops  and  exhibition  openings  as  deemed  necessary  by  staff   (some  nights  and  weekends)

  EDUCATION  AND  EXPERIENCE:   • Bachelor’s  Degree  (BA)  from  four-­‐year  College  or  university  preferred;  one  or  two  years   related  experience  and/or  training;  or  equivalent  combination  of  education  and  experience.   KNOWLEDGE,  SKILLS  AND  ABILITIES:   • A  qualified  candidate  must  possess  good  communication  and  writing  skills,  be  well  organized   and  computer  proficient  (MAC  or  PC.).  Knowledge  of  Washington  DC  art  and  culture  scene   and  Background  in  performance  or  gallery  management  a  plus.   ADDITIONAL  INFORMATION:   • Flexible  schedule,  many  long  hours,  work  with  a  variety  of  people  and  work  well  with  artists   and  art  groups.  Required  climbing,  lifting  and  heights.  Must  be  able  to  problem  solve     COMPENSATION:  Negotiable     BENEFITS  PACKAGE:  52  weeks  with  scheduled  vacation  time,  health  insurance  [co-­‐pay],  short   and  long  term  disability,  life  insurance
