General information for all PU Linear timing belts

Main features: Linear PU timing belts are manufactured as open end cords and thermoplastic polyurethane. All belts can be supplied as open length rolls or jointed endless according to requirements. Typical applications: Open length belts: automation and materials handling equipment, horizontal and vertical doors, printing applications, automatic assembly operations, automatic storage and retrieval systems, fabric cutting machines, woodworking machines, glass cutting, scanner movement, robotics. Endless Jointed Belts: sheet metal and sheet glass transport systems, food conveying, print and paper applications, conveying applications for wood and related industries, in general for synchronized conveying and positioning, assembly, packaging, inserting and other automation equipment applications. PU-flat belts: PU-flat belts with steel cords are mainly used in lifting applications where there is no requirement for synchronization. Wet conditions: belts with aramid cords are suitable for applications under wet conditions such as car washing machines and operations in the food industry. Mechanical properties: excellent dimensional stability, maintenance free, high abrasion resistance, high efficiency, high precision linear positioning, low pre-tension, clean and quiet operation. Chemical properties: high resistance against ozone, UV-light, ageing, oils, greases, fats, gasoline, hydrolysis. Good resistance to acids. Jointing methods: hot welded finger joints are always recommended. Belt fasteners can be used for special applications, please consult for more information. Accessories: all belts can be fitted with cleats and Vee-guides, also special cleats to your specifications. Specialities: Nylon fabric on surface to reduce friction and noise: NT = Nylon fabric on tooth side NB = Nylon fabric on back side NTB = Nylon fabric on both sides Tension members, cords: steel (standard), stainless steel, high performance steel (L), high flexibility steel (HF), aramid. Body material: standard material is white thermoplastic polyurethane. On request it is possible to supply belts in different colours and hardnesses, also antistatic and FG-quality is possible. Perforations and embossing: possible but please consult for more information. Cover materials: belts can be covered with various covering materials and special machining is possible according to requirements. Standards: DIN 7721 T1, DIN/ISO 5296, ISO 13050 ( depending on belt type )
