Step-father, and? Christy Sutton, mother. Okay. Again, uhm, I’m taking this statement in reference to the events on August 20th, 2008. That occurred during the PRP Football practice. Please describe the events of August 20th, 2008, from the beginning till the end of practice? Uh, it was just a normal practice. Uh, before I do anything at practice, I get a drink of water. And, then we just wait for the coaches to get there. And, then uh, they’ll blow the whistle and tell us to break it down. Then we’ll go into 6 lines and then do our warm-ups, do our stretches and all that. And, after that we’ll break into team take offs, offense and defense. And, after that we’ll go into individual and all that. And, then after that we’ll get a water break. And, then after that the offensive line will go through their thing. And, then the on 7 on 7, and uh, after 7 on 7 uh, everybody. He called us up for after the team. And, I, I guess the reason that we started running was, ‘cause everybody started walking. And, I guess he just got frustrated, ‘cause we been walking around pretty much all day. So, he, then he called everybody to the line. So, he made us start running, and I, I guess he was just mad ‘cause they weren’t doing what he said the whole, the whole day. So, we just started running, then we, we started running. Okay. So, your uh, your practice uh, on the 20th consisted of uh, drills, going over plays and such?

Yeah. Uh, any film, did you go over any film or anything like that? No, we didn’t go over nothing like that. Okay. So, uh, what time did you uh, arrive, what time did the players uh, get on the field, the practice field? Uh, 3:10. About 3:10? I think that’s what time practice usually starts. Okay. And, you all immediately went to the field? Yeah. Okay. While on the field and uh, you told me you, the practice consisted of running drills, 7 on 7. What is 7 on 7? To where you have 7 offensive players, quarter back uh, center, and wh…, running backs and wide outs. And, defenses has their, the wide backs and quarter backs and safeties. Okay. And, what is your position on the team? Running back. You’re a running back? Um-hum.

Uh, as it relates to water breaks uh, that were given. Uh, are they individually or as a team? Uh, some, some are the team, well like, ‘cause like if we go on 7 on 7, and say if you’re like on the first team? You, you would go at the first team goes out, you go get a drink of water. And, then second team will go, and the second team’ll get done, they go get a drink of water. And, then what is, they won’t gone, basically go on team. Okay. So, some are done, done in teams and uh, but none individually where a person can walk over to get water if they wanted water? No. Uh, what about groups uh, you said the t…, you were broke down in groups? What about a specific group offensive group can go over? Uh, or as a group? As, as a group. Okay. We usually do it sometimes. ‘Cause, sometimes when individually uh, at. Usually an individual, well after we get done, (inaudible)…, we’ll get a water break. And, then all the quarterbacks, running backs and all the offense and defense will go over there on 7 on 7. Then offense and defense will go do uh, the well this one drill that they do everyday. Okay, okay. On August 20th, 2008, how many water breaks did you take?

Uh, I got at least 3 or, 3 to 4. After the last water break uh, what did the practice consist of? Uh, us was running, and conditioning. After we got, after he told us to go through the line. Okay. Running and conditioning? What time did the uh, what time was the last water break? I’d say somewhere around 5. Okay. And, why was the team running? To me I think it was just ‘cause we were walking around. That’s, that’s what I, that’s what I thought it was. ‘Cause, we weren’t, we weren’t really hustling that day. When everybody was just walking to their positions. And, he was just kinda gettin’ frustrated lettin’ it go. Is it safe to say your, your response was the team was not hustling? Yeah. As a team? How many sprints did you run in your group? Uh, I, I would say at least tw…, twelve and then went full gear. And, then we took off our helmets and then we ran like. Then (inaudible)…, least like 6 and then we took off our shoulder pads and ran like 5 more. Okay. So, you ran 12 sprints in, in a group?

Yeah. In full gear, and uh, what group were you in? Uh, like we, we like little people, big people, that’s how we do it. Like little people is considered, quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers. Okay, so it. And, the big guys are offense and defensive lines. So, as opposed to offense, defense it’s, it’s, it’s, it’s size, correct? Yeah. Okay. (Inaudible)… So, you ran with the… (Inaudible)… Smaller group? Yeah. Or, smaller players? Yeah. How many sprints did you run before you were able to take off your gear? Uh.

You’ve already said, stated that you. Yeah. Ran a certain amont…, and then you took off your helmet? Yeah, we ran 12; I would sat at least somewhere around 12. And, then we t…, he told us to take off our helmets. Then uh… Twelve full and we have, how many did you run before you removed your helmet? Uh, before? Or, how many did you run when you took your helmet off? Uh, somewhere around 12. Okay. Uh, 12? And, this is without helmet, right? No, that’s uh, that was with helmet. With the helmet? That, that was full gear with 12. We ran like 6 uh, like 5 to 6 with, without helmets. Okay. So, 12 in full gear, 12 uh, okay I think we, we, we’ve answered question twice here. But, I’ma read the question again. How many sprints did you run before taking off gear? Uh, like 5 to 6.

Okay. So, we change that to a 5 to 6. You’re, you’re asking which without a helmet on? Yes, ma’am, yeah. He ran about, he said 5 to 6 without a helmet. Right, without a helmet. He’s asking without a helmet. Okay. Well, it, it states before taking off gear. So, you actually ran 12 I uh, my question up here was. How many sprints did the group run as a group? 12. And, you said 12. So, here you have, how many, I asked you how many sprints did you run before taking off any gear? Count. So, it was, it was 12 again, right? Yeah. Um-hum. Okay. So, we’re fine I’ll do that, I’ll correct that. And, that was with helmet, correct? And, after taking off gear, meaning if you may have taken off your helmet or shoulder pads. How many sprints did you run at that time? Actually, broke it down like, he made us take off our helmets. And, then we ran like 5 again.

Then, like after that 5, we, we took off our shoulder pads and ran 5 again. Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Okay. So, 5 without helmet. And, 5 without shoulder pads. Okay. And, how long do you think the team was running sprints? To me it felt like at least like 30 minutes, or somewhere around there like 30. Did, did you have a watch on; you didn’t actually look at the time? No, no I, I was just, it was just something. Okay. So, in, in your observation 30 minutes? Yeah, somewhere around there. Did you or any other teammates ask for water breaks, or try to get water during the running sprints? Not, that, not that I, not that I. Did, but personally you didn’t try to get any water, and was denied water, correct? Did you or any of your teammates become ill during the running sprints? Like, like what do you mean like? Uh, well while, while running did anyone get ill. Uh, we know at least one became very ill. Uh, yeah but I, I didn’t like he, like he really

didn’t show nothing. That’s why that was like. Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Let me on a tape as uh, as uh, for the purpose of the tape. Are we referring to Max Gilpin? Yeah. Okay. So, Max in your observation was the only one that got sick? Yeah. Or, got ill? Yeah. Okay. Was anyone else? No. And, when did Max get sick or be..., become ill? Uhm, the very last one, on the very last thing they ran. After completing the running? After completing …yeah… Was there anyone else that became ill? Uh, An…, Antonio Calloway was, the one that. The one that went in the hospital with him. Is Antonio a black male player? Yeah.

Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones Probet Jones

Antonio Calloway? Um-hum, yeah. And, when did he become ill? Uh, I would say probably about this, about the second the last one uh, they ran. After the second to the last run? Yeah. Uh, I lost my train of thought here. Uhm, I’ll get back to it. During any practices this year, have you personally seen, or heard of any teammates being injured or quitting the team?

Pause… Probet Jones Not, not that I can remember of right now. Give me a second here. Uhm, as it relates to the uh, running, how were the, the sprints being ran? Width wise or length wise of the, of the practice field? Well, I mean we, we like. Side to side is width. No. Uh, he’s asking you this way or this way? I, I only ran width, we ran width. From sideline to sideline?

Yeah. And, what is considered one gasser or one sprint? One gasser is uh, side uh, from there back there back..… So, from the start to the other end, back to the start to the other end? And, back to the start again? Um-hum. Is that considered one? That’s one. Okay, okay. Has anyone influenced you in anyway to withhold information? Or change any of these facts that actually occurred during the practice? I’m sorry? No. Okay. Is this statement truthful? Yes. Do you have anything else to add? No. Okay. Uh, we will go off record. Time now is 8? 8? 8 uh, 2053 hours.
