GULGBT Committee Meeting Agenda 26th February 7pm Committee Room 3

In attendance: Livvi, Becky, Hannah, Lauren, Amy, Ciara, Kim, David, Erin, Tabitha, Chris. Apologies: Steen, Colvin, Committee Business 1. QueerFest a. Recap: Day went well apart from Guava not turning up, there were people who turned up specifically for this. (Around 3 people) We did not have material. The film screening was very popular. Trans* talk was great, Stenton was fab. Swing dance and yoga were successful. b. Evening: Sound equipment and spotlight did not arrive on time. There was a communication error with the spotlight. Apparently this will be addressed at GUU management meeting. We paid for multiple things, so we are expecting some money back. Other than that, it went really really well. We have had some good feedback. 2. Quiz: Tomorrow night, starts at 8pm. Committee should be there for 7.45. Will have 8 short rounds. Will include name the body part challenge/drawing a particular organ. 3. Wicked Wenches: 6th of March - We have 2 for 1 entry at the stand. We told them that we would have around 25 people, we may have more. We also have the mezzanine in Polo afterwards. 4. Farewell Dinner a. Updates i. Linen: Tabby is working on getting final quote for black linen. ii. Wine: Being provided by Barefoot(?) wines, will pay 3.50 corkage. iii. Guest Speaker Bingo: Hannah has volunteered for this, will write and take part in the bingo. iv. Seating Chart: Tabby is taking care of this. Try and put people beside their friends. v. Favours Drumsticks are not vegan, so cant have these. Could have lovehearts, vi. Piper: David has confirmed the piper.

b. Tickets and Selling: We are selling them at all events from. 2 M/W/PM/T* events, reading party, wicked wenches and lunchtime drop in. Make sure name is in block capitals, along with what kind of meal they want and what kind of wine that they would prefer. 5. AGM : Not discussing this in-depth, committee thinking about constitutional amendments. Hannah Co-presidency? Chris financial minimum? If anyone is planning on running again, let Lauren know. So that there is time to prepare speech etc Clear out e-mails for next committee. Think about people for honoury presidency/vice-presidency. 6. Charity: We have not heard back from our charity, so we need to think of someone else. This committee decision will have to be discussed at the AGM. 7. M/W/T*/P-M Events updates! Chris this week. P-M* - Lazerquest. Tabby self-defense classes next week. Colvin just continuing with weekly coffees 8. Alan McManus Book Launch 15th of April - Having a book launch in the chapel, has asked if Lauren would like to host Q&A session.
