Application

The RXTUG 22H is primarily intended for auxiliary voltage supply of electronic circuits. It is suitable for use when moderate output power is required, e.g. for the supply of protective relays or automatic equipment. The RXTUG 22H converts an incoming dc voltage to an ac voltage which is subsequently transformed, rectified and smoothed to another regulated and stabilized dc voltage. This converter has a high degree of efficiency and it can be loaded up to 20 W for 5 minutes and 15 W continuously. Unsymmetrical load of plus and minus U2 (see Fig. 1) can be accepted up to 100% of rated load. The input and output voltages of the converter are galvanically separated, which contributes to the suppression of any transients occurring in the input voltage. The input is supplied with a voltage polarizing protection to prevent damage in case of faulty connection.

RXTUG 22H is directly replacing RXTUG 21H.

Design

The output voltage is monitored by a built-in auxiliary relay. During normal operation a green LED at the front is lit. If the output is short-circuited the converter drops out. When the short-circuit is removed, the converter restarts automatically. Using two parallel converters to receive redundant voltage supplies, an external diode connection is needed for the secondary side, see Fig. 1. RTXE diodes acc. to 1MRK 513 004-BEN may be used. The RTXE diodes mount in the rear pockets of the terminal bases and therefore do not add to the space requirements.

RTXC branch connectors acc. to1MRK 513 003-BEN may be used for making easy connections of the wiring from the RTXEs. COMBIFLEX sockets are fitted to the wires from RTXE.
