Here are a few of the titles, referring to key cardinals, which are used during the election process of a new pope.

The Camerlengo is the cardinal who calls the conclave to assemble. He temporarily heads the Church until a new pope is elected.

Scrutineers are three cardinals chosen by lot who are the official counters of the ballots.

Infirmarii are three cardinals also chosen by lot who collect the ballots from the sick and infirm cardinals who are confined to their rooms.

Revisors are three cardinals who check that the ballot counts and the notes made by the scrutineers are correct.
