Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed received his Ph.D. in Chem. Eng. from University of Salford, UK, in 1992. He is a Professor at School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His research interest is Reaction Engineering and Adsorption Technology. To date, he has published more than 155 articles in ISI-indexed journals and other 80 articles in International and national journals and proceedings. Prof. Bassim’s publications have been cited over 4,350 times (Scopus), with 7 having been cited more than 100 times each, and he has an author h-index of 40. A recent report of MOHE, Malaysian Citation Centre, 2012, Prof. Bassim is the top cited Malaysian-based author in Engineering, 2001-2010 with average citations per publication of 27.26. Also recently, Science Direct reported that more than 15 of his articles were among the Top 25 Hottest Articles accessed in 2007-2012. He is a recipient of three Sanggar Sanjung (Hall of Fame) awards for Research Product in 2003 and 2004 and USM Excellent Achievement Award in 2007 and 2011. Also he was a recipient of Sanggar Sanjung Awards excellence in journal publication in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Prof. Bassim has conducted many workshops for university lecturers, postgraduate students and researchers.

The organizer reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any part of its published programme or venue due to unforeseen circumstances and will not accept liability for costs incurred by participants or their organizations for the cancellation of travel arrangements and/or accommodation reservations as a result of the course being cancelled or postponed. Advance notice will be given if there is such a change or cancellation.
