...but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. 1 Kings 19:11-13 Dear Brothers, Sisters in Christ and Friends, I hope that this newsletter finds that all is well with you and your family. Mr. Ernest Angley, is a pastor in the U.S. who has programs aired in Suriname. A few months ago he came to Suriname. Before he came there was a whirlwind of advertising that his ministry has been to hundreds of countries, healing thousands of people and bringing them to Christ from all races and creed. But as usual with human nature, much of the talk among the Christians when he came was that he flew in on his private jet with his workers who went passing out flyers and tracts to the people in the city and went into the stores, saying, God loves you and so do we. Ernest Angley Ministries rented a stadium and thousands of chairs for three days. Most of the people who came to the meeting were already Christians or nominal Christians and who like other people were looking to be healed. There was another evangelist who came here a number of years before like Ernest Angley, many people came to his meetings too, through his advertising of healings and miracles to be done and had the same results as Mr. Angley. In scripture, crowds followed Jesus everywhere to be healed, see miracles and to listen to his words. When Jesus left an area, the news spread of his deeds by the many who were healed and seen miracles throughout the cities and hillsides that Jesus visited. Many people came to Ernest Angley Crusade who were blind, deaf, handicapped and in wheelchairs, people with common colds, the flu, backaches and AIDS, but most of them left the 3-day Crusade in the same condition they came. Unfortunately, many were made to feel they were not healed because they didnt have enough faith or told to go home to wait for the healing which left many disappointment because of the advertising which in effect came across as inadvertent promises. I dont think they (Ernest Angley Ministries) realize it. When he left, all we heard of his ministry among Christians was, it was a nice night out and amazed to see so many professing Christians. In contrast, Bill Carr who was a missionary and a friend when he left Suriname, there was talk of how effective he really was because he spent a lot time consoling his children who were having a difficult time here adjusting. When he left, I continued discipling a believer he lead to the Lord. I asked him what did he like about Bills ministry? He told me when his daughter died and Bill took his daughters body and put it his car and drove her body to the burial site to be buried when no one else would help. Because of that, the door was open for me to disciple him. It just made me realize that much activity doesnt necessarily make a ministry effective in Gods eyes. SECOND COMING OF CHRIST It took us almost 2 1/2 years off and on to put together the Second Coming of Christ and translate it into Dutch and Sarnami. We have given the presentation in English speaking churches and Netherlands speaking churches, and our goal this fall is to do it in Sarnami. It is a 10-week interactive presentation that covers from creation to when Christ returns all authority to the Father. It is a very comprehensive presentation that we put on PowerPoint. Christians get all kinds of lessons in churches and from missionaries, but rarely weve seen anyone lay out Gods program of redemption from beginning to end. Our desire is, knowing many Christians dont have access to quality Bible studies, when our interactive presentation is finished, they will have heard Gods plan from the beginning to the end. If we wanted to, we could give this 7 days a week to seven different groups or churches, that is how people are responding and want to discuss and understand what Gods Word says about His program. Often I think about how it would be to be in the U.S. to minister there. Being around friends and relatives and sometimes those thoughts come on me like a whirlwind and a earthquake, but for now there is a still small voice in my heart that says to continue to bring Gods principles for living for Him to those who speak Sarnami with the ultimate goal of bringing the 2nd Coming of Christ in Hindi to help prepare them for His Coming. There doesnt seem to be enough adequate

voices speaking Gods truths and principles for living for Him in Sarnami. Please pray that we can get more of these truths on CDs in Sarnami. Please pray for us, after each presentation and doing the radio program, we are pretty exhausted. There is so much to cover and so many opinions and thinking that has to be brought under submission of Gods Word in our discussions. We are taking the time now to put the final touches on our 2nd Coming of Christ in our Sarnami interactive presentation. With all the different languages in Suriname, it makes ministering very tiring. Please pray for us!

here because this is a special opportunity we have before the door is closed. With the whirlwind of difficulties surrounding this work, I still hear the still small voice say, This too shall pass! In Isaiah 42:1-2, it is eye-opening to see how the Lord didnt use propaganda and/or inadvertent promises for results in advertising or communicating in doing Gods work
Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.

I suppose in this world, he who yells the loudest gets the most attention! But we just want to able to do His work effectively as we can with the least amount of hindrances as possible in a manner that is pleasing to Him. Please pray for us as we will for you! Prayer/Praise:
Believe or not, Micha will be 14 on September 15, 2007 and Melody just turned 12 on June 5. 2007 THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BEGGING FOR BREAD AND MEETING NEEDS I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. Ps 37:25

In this ministry and as I look around me at the standards of living in the world, I have a hard time figuring out what is begging for bread and meeting needs of the ministry. Last year we were financially challenged after returning from furlough this year is no different. Just like most people trying to make ends meet, we are paying high gas prices for travel, $4.50 a gallon. In many ways with the escalating prices is causing us to cut back on ministry expenses. Many of the things we have to do our work are aging and not working properly. Michas and Melodys school tuition rose from $3,000 to $7,000 (a little bit under 1/3 of our support). Surely the Lord will provide to continue this work and we just keep trusting Him to work in the hearts of His people because many of the things are beyond of means. We will do whatever it takes to do this work
