Their workMissionaries to Mexico through the CMF Mission. Caleb and Dawn will join the campus ministry team in Puebla to focus on ministry to the university students. This years special offering on Resurrection Sunday will support the mission work of Caleb and Dawn Christman. Caleb and Dawn have been involved in student ministry for over 10 years. They graduated from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in 2000, Dawn went on to get her master's in education, and Caleb spent a year in Papua New Guinea with Pioneer Bible Translators. Dawn has taught in public schools over the past 10 years. Caleb and Dawn have four children, Julia (5), Zechariah (4), and Kenna (2), and Ezra (1).
Our current series on the Friends of Paul will continue over the next several weeks. This week, March 24, we will meet Silas, The Team Player. On March 31 we will be examining Timothy, The Understudy. In coming weeks, we will be meeting Luke, Aquilla/Priscilla, Philip and Demas. If you are not involved in a small group, on Sunday evenings, I encourage you to join us. Communion is available for those who desire. Once again, I remind that we now have activities for children each Sunday evening.
WEDNESDAYS: Our 10:00 am and 6:30 pm study groups will resume this week (March 27). We will begin an examination of Pauls letter to the Philippians. Why not join us for the new study. SENIOR SAINTS IN THE SMOKIES: Its time to think and plan for this grand event! It is held on the Johnson University campus, in Knoxville, TN. Some of us have been participating for over 20 years. We will be attending May 27-31. It is a great week of inspiration and relaxation for seniors. (I call it summer camp for seniors.) If you have questions or would like registration information, see me!
If you are hearing rumors about these changes, let me once again encourage you to come to me with any questions you may have about this transition or any modifications. I will be more than happy to speak with you. In His Service, Brad
FINAL THOUGHT: It isnt so much how busy you are, but why you are busy. The bee is praised but the mosquito is swatted.

Last week in Childrens Church, we learned about when Jesus was betrayed by two of His close friends! Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss and then Peter denied Jesus three times! Can you imagine having a friend for three years and then betraying you that way? We decided as a class, that no amount of silver coins could ever be enough for us to betray Jesus. And we decided that we will never be ashamed and certainly never deny our love for Jesus! I am so proud of every kid in our class because they are so incredibly smart, sweet and in love with Jesus! SCOTTS THOUGHTS
In preparation for Palm Sunday and Easter, I was reading through the Gospel of Mathew. When I got to chapter 21 and the account of Jesus triumphal entry I see Jesus being welcomed into Jerusalem by crowds who laid their garments on the road so the donkey Jesus was riding would not have to walk in the dirt. Others cut branches from palm trees to pave the roads for the coming of Christ. They shouted hosanna and Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven! The very next verses show Jesus confronting the moneychangers in the temple, driving them out and knocking their tables and chairs to the ground. This had been a family business meant to make it possible for those traveling at a distance from their homes to offer the necessary sacrifices. Over the years the purpose shifted to being a source of income and the point had been forgotten to the point that Jesus described it as a den of thieves. Receiving Christ is a joyous event and should be celebrated with shouting and singing, but making Jesus Lord of your life will always bring change, abolish standard ways of thinking and call us to refocus on what matters. In this season of resurrection, what is God wanting to make new in your life? What tables need overturned in surrender to Jesus? Will you and I allow Jesus to reign in our hearts and make us new?

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.
Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).
