Part One: Beginning Occult Magic

The Basics of Practice Magic is a touchy thing to begin. I suppose the first major question is religion . What is your religion? Is it compatible with magic? Do you wish to change religi ons to a magical one or simply merge what you have? There is much debate on this topic, b ut here is my opinion: Most religions ban magic as evil and have severe penalties, eithe r now, in the eternal, or both for practitioners of any form of magic. More than li ely, y our current religion will not mix with magic. Many practitioners have to brea  from their cu rrent belief system and form/join a comfortable hybrid religion. Also, the option of s imply abandoning what you currently  now as religion and radically changing your belie f system is open. It rarely wor s, due to moral and emotional conflicts, but it is still an option. The second major question confronting magicians is, "What is my nature?". This q uestion spawns many different answers. Some li e aggressive magic to attac  an adversary , or a friend's adversary. Many use protective magic to shield themselves and their fri ends from the stormy blast of other magic. Many people abandon the idea of combative magic all together and opt for enchantments to ease the burdens of life on everybody, such as blessings and prosperity spells. Here are most of the major classes of magician (as far as I can tell, all spells can be accounted for within these castes): White Magician - Expert of Protective and Healing Spells. Blac  Magician - Expert of Destructive Spells. Mage - Expert at Psychic and Mental Control, and Spells of Willpower. Druid - Masters of Nature and Natural Forces. Enchanter - Experts at Area Effect Magic (Curses/Blessings). Diviner - Experts of Future and Fortune telling. Conjurer - Experts at Summoning Spirits or Entities. Healer - Experts at Manipulating and Sustaining Life Force. Necromancer - Experts at Manipulating Death and the Dead. Sorcerer - Freelance Offensive Casters of All Types; Mainly focussed on blac  ma gic. Wizard - Freelance Defensive Casters of All Types; Mainly focussed on white magi

c. Priest - Calls on God to defend them and to wor  with their situation as necessa ry.

It ta es a long time to figure out just what your talent is. Do you want power? Create a node. If y ou do not. Do not disclude magics that you do not li e for that reason alone. The third question of magic is the most difficult because of all the options it presents: What do you want? This is by far the most difficult.Calls on Satan to indulge their desires.Satanist . you must figure out ho w to use it. Try diligently t o find out what you can do. The Basics of Practice . Here is the second part: Collec ting Power. After deciding what you want (or. choose your type (fate?). and then determine what you can do with it. You can not just sit down one night. A good idea is to f ind a scryer or conjurer that can tell you (if you get really stuc ). and also  eep in mind to search every aspect. Ever wonder why magicians. at the foundation of magic. which I can. You will. miraculous blas ts of fire and lightning? Here is why. Do you want money? Design a prosperity spell . is as easy as breathing.  eeping in mind the basic list of caster types given on the previous page. One must collect power. occassionally referred to as "Mana" (though I despise the term ). and most difficult question of magic. but are simply no t good at it while they are good at elemental magic but do not li e it. if they are so powerful . That was the first step: Identifying Your Niche. ponder your brains out and e merge with the answer (normally. . what you are able to do). literally. it would be this. If I could offer one bit of advice. as a rule. you do not  now your talent. fall under one of these categories. don't simply run out into all the world and smite their foes in great. but. Find you magical niche and exploit it.Fundamental Ability Now. Some people want to be conjurers. it is time to confront the third. Do you want  nowledge? Learn demon conjuration (o r scrying for the white magician). This may be the case. At this point the magician must decide how to shape their universe. more accurately. there are some people out there that are just pl ain gifted at everything). To collect power. Wow! Enjoy figuring out the intrinsics of how to use abilities on your o wn. Once you have the power. which is: Ta e Your Time! The decision pr ocess is long and hard.

This sort of power gathering is great for elemental magicians (ones who use fire. The final step to beginning magic is the practical application of all that stuff you have so diligently wor ed at understanding. con jure a spirit. Those that are interested i n (or. if a caster was a Necromancer and wished to heal a friend, it would be to the detrime nt of someone else. A Necromancer has to draw on the powers of death, so in that case, a suitable donor (voluntary or not) would have to be found. A Healer, in contrast, would be able to syphon the energies of earth into the wounded friend, and in turn hurt n obody. A Conjurer would have to send a demon or angel into the person in question. There are many different options available, but each one has a different price to pay. The Necromancer may lose a bit of their own life force or have to harm someone else, and would have to  ill a living person proportionately to the amount of healing they bestow; the Healer would run out of available magic for a while and would be mentally we ary;

the Conjurer would not only have to later exorcise the possessing spirit from th eir friend but also would render the services of that spirit unavailable to themself for a time. Thin  of your objective and then thin  of the options available to you considering you r caster type. Sometimes the cost isn't worth the benefit. That's why I personally recomm end that whatever type of caster you are, that you ma e friends with a caster of opposite alignment and ability (i.e. a Demon Conjurer with a Priest, a Healer with a Necromancer, a Wizard with a Sorcerer, etc.). Thin  of your objective again, and thin  of how much energy it will cost you to obtain that goal. For a Priest, a blessing is nothing. For a Demonomancer, a blessing i s among the hardest things possible. Be shrewd in using your powers. Sometimes, what is difficult for one caster class is simple for another. Try to find the most expedient and w ise way to obtain your goal. If it was to gain money, then obviously a Healer and a Blac  M age would go about getting that money in a different way. The healer could offer the ir services of health, while a Blac  Mage could offer enchanted items or magical se rvices of their type. Lastly, one must evaluate purpose. This point is the most difficult to ascertain . If money is the purpose, perhaps that is too difficult to achieve. Instead, try aiming fo r a job as your purpose, and, as a result, obtain money. Purposes range in every way possible. S ome are altruistic and some are greedy and self-serving. Either way, one must be very ca utious when deciding what their purpose is. When you are ready to proceed, prepare your self mentally. You must prepare yourself for results, for the gravity of what you're about to do, and for the expulsion of some or all of the energy you have been gathering t hrough the breathing exercise set out in Beginning Magic #2. First, extend your hands t owards the target, or if performing an area effect enchantment, point at the s y (alter natively, some people find just as much strength by simply concentrating on the tas  at ha nd without any body positions). Clear your mind of disruptive thoughts that will di stract you from concentrating 100% on your magical tas  at hand. Now, you should thin  of y our purpose. Thin  of it vigourously, vividly and precisely. Now, feel the energy yo u have saved up naturally flow in the proper proportion out of your body and effecting your will. Let's just say, for a solid example, that you're an Mage who wishes to implant a

thought in someone's mind. Flush out your mind, "enter" that person's mind, and convey y our thoughts through Air energy. If it didn't wor  the first time and the person jus t continues laughing/tal ing or whatver they're doing and it didn't seem to affect them, try again. There's no harm done by trying again. Some spells require a fair bit of raw ener gy to get started. Just  eep trying. If, by some chance, it didn't wor  the first time or the hundredth time,  eep trying it. It will eventually wor , but you may need more e nergy to perform that spell than you have at the time. It is a frustrating process, but i t does wor  with practice. Some people get it the first time, some don't get it till the hun dred and first time. It just depends on how accurately you have carried out these steps and how much energy you have reserved to perform these acts of magic. Have faith,  eep practi cing, and rest secure in the fact that you now have all the information necessary to becom e an awesomely powerful magician. There are other ways available, but this wor s the best, hands down.

The Parting of Ways White Magician: The White art practitioner has among the easiest arts to advance in. The reason is that White casters, typically, are not constantly being hunted by adversaries. They do not start any fights, and therefore are not compelled to fi nish any, either. This allows them lots of time to understand the inner wor ings of nature and to collect their power for use in times of need. The main focus for you, as a caste r of this sort now, would be to learn the basic uses of herbs, oils, runes and stars. The creation of familiar elemental spirits is also quite useful, as they can be helpful for gath ering information and tending to matters. The more advanced caster may wish to create a magical "node" in which they can exercise absolute magical authority when they n eed to. A node is a concentration of magical energies into an area for absorption. The W hite caster can shape the magical auras of the trees, roc s, plants, and other items to concentrate on a spot, thereby ma ing it a magical focal point. These are endles sly useful. People who are injured should be brought here so that the full effect of a White caster's magic can be experienced by the recipient of healing magic. Also, this is a safe haven against magic curses from adversaries. Learn how to neutralize an area, and expe riment with cleaning an area of magical influence. Enjoy the excursion into the white, protective and healing arts. Blac  Magician: The Blac  caster has a difficult tas  ahead. It requires much pa tience and discipline. The main thing to focus on is physical or tangible results. Don' t assume that anything has ever happened. Be sure that if you cast a fire spell that some thing (perhaps not even your target) has caught on fire. In the beginning, absorb as m uch magical energy as possible and then channel all of it into a single action. It m ust be done that way at the beginning or else your results will be lame and barely noticable . Later, refine the amount of energy and the focus control thereof through experience. Fo cus on one type of magic at first, such as fire. Do not attempt to begin by casting ice and fire spells bac  to bac . Try to perfect fire and then move on to something else. The Blac  magician is to always increase their repertoire of destructive and varied spells . Always see  out new spells and of a different sort. At first, perfection of a single sp ell is

Attempt to control the will of beings of lesser intelligence to start. earth energy channeling and some of the movement spells. The local dogs and cats tend to be good targets for that sort of practice. in which the caster attempts to magically win the loyalty of a creature. After about two years. Moving up to human  ind is a big . From there.sufficient. such as remo te viewing and warp space (for the initiated). Starting on insects or hordes thereof is good. then move up. Do not be discouraged. The success of this spell typically depends on the caster's s ill level and the intelligence of the target. you are not a Blac  magician if there is no result by that time. Mage: The Mage has a lot of decisions ahead of them. Mages are typically good at the mind arts. Mages usually begin by attempting ch arm spells. even after a few years of minimal results (if it really comes down to that). move up to animals. if you still cannot get anything. qu it.

First. Another aforement ioned ability is that of the movement field. and t hen a lot of that species of saplings are planted into a spacious circle.step. The last t hing a mage proceeds in is the ability to channel earth energy. Try to find one (or ma e one) and experiment in it. The Druid then visits th is grove and meditates in it. If an item is charged w ith a fire blessing (let's say it's a glove). For a Druid. Even a momentary lapse of concentration is suffici ent to trap a person or object on the ethereal plane. but be a bit wary while practising. such as talismans. Druid: The Druid is part of their environment. but rather that they are only to be used on those that oppose and disrupt a harmonious way of life. Mages are bloodhounds when it comes to finding a n ode. ensuring it's health and channelling magical properties into th e trees. Through an intimate bond with nat ure.Net.Q. An Enchanter has to loo  for physical results in the creat ion of magical objects. When these trees are older. Once a mage is at that point. It is just too varied and difficult to pin down. Earth tends. head bumps. sand. intestines. spirits. dogs. runes. effects a particular spell will h ave on them. but the basic gist is that regardless of how they do it. hair. stic s. Among many many other ty pes of divination are the use of clouds. tooth alignment. it is best to ta e your future divining n eeds to a real diviner though. also by its nature. that there will be no advanced page or Mast er of this art. tarot dec s. Diviners use a physical medium of some sort to find out what they can about the future. feces. etc. One does not have to loo  far to find a place to learn Divinatio n.Elemental Mage: The goal of an Elemental Magician. candles. auras. finger prints. earth. the most abund ant type of all. etc. the infamous crystal ball. water. to be the hardest. wind. quaternary. so to spea . Diviner: The Diviner's main job is to find out what's going to happen. saliva. palms. it is always in a state of cha nge. All the basic  nowledge for major advancement is held within the boo  series.

The Heale r is a realigner of magical forces to the benefit of a living being. T his is . soften it. Being careful and being sure to as /command properly is the only true difficulty. O nce the ethereal body is healed. Healer: Healer's are.of Solomon" and "The Lesser Key of Solomon". The theory is. depending on your own personal alignment. The Healer must feel the energy of the wounded. and read them thoroughly. tha t when the physical body is cut. and mold it bac  into alignment with the rest of the body. E .

it should be a snap. being necromancy. you must experiment. The hardest thing in this particular art is to get started in the first place. forest area. Study gem prop erties. There should be boo s available in any boo  store. The main tool of a Necromancer is the death eth er. An occupational hazard of being a Necromancer is that. Next. The healing is usual ly not instant. Write down everything y ou do TO THE LETTER! Sorcerer: Though there is no hard and fast rule as to how a wizard or sorceror s hould continue their studies. you need to find a cemetery.

. for a Sorceror. A classic example of this is a soul stealer. wind. become very proficient at the elemental spells (fire. Be ever vigilant not to let evil totally overta e your mind. Many (and truly most) Sorcerers become Conjurers and Demonomancers or  ill themselves. though generally nice. To cont inue Sorcerer studies. They are a very spec ial breed of Sorcerer that drain a portion of the life force of their victims in exchange for party-tric  style magical favours. I suppose the main challenge for a beginning practitioner is to live a holy life ( holy means to be set apart and consecrated). The Wizard is to use their s pecial status of being able to remain neutral in the magical realm. and we do not want th e targets of beneficial spells being injured. start small and gradually wor  your way up!!! Never ever ever ever ever try to start at the top or you'll be possessed and you'll end up  illing yourself again st your will. after all. Sorcerers have no protection against the danger s of demons. I can't really say much more than a good copy of the Bible can about this topic. then try to control demons.  nowledge and faith are what ma e a truly strong practitioner. coupled with God's leading. Study of the scriptures is the way to  nowledge. Try movement spells on everything but yourself first so that you can gain the experience of the prec ise mental co-ordination required to move an object without trapping it on the ethereal pla ne. Conti nue practising and remember the responsibility that follows power invariably. and the application of wisdom. To attain the level of Wizard usually requires a long time. Priest/Cleric: The Priest/Cleric must (and veritably yearns to) learn the nature of God. do not want the ethereal plane becoming as cluttered by stray objects. being able to use b oth white and blac  forms (though mostly white). a Priest i . but rather to  eep a balance. More often than not. is the way to faith. A travelling distance of any more than a  ilometre ca n ta e up to an entire day to reserve enough energy for. get someone else to call you a wizard (a perso n or a truthful spirit) before using the title. Remember that. unli e Conjurers. The combination of wisdom. so don't use the title unless you thin  you deserve it.When you can control the elements. Better yet. These are very hard to effect because of the fine mental concentration required and the large amounts o f power for even a short movement. The main point to remember when advanci ng in Wizardry is not to favour one sort of magic. Once a holy life has been attained. When controlling demons. or to hasten a living organism without damaging the internal organs. Wizard: Wizards are masters of the movement class of spells. There are other ways of teleporting which ta  e virtually nothing in the way of power but are not guaranteed. We. the leading of Go d is the way to wisdom. and to use their abilities for overall go od. spells of this nature aid in the endurance. stamina and speed of a Wizard's target (often themselves) such that weariness does not set in and that maximum efficiency is obtained.

Part Two: Intermediate Occult Magic .

Once you have a Boo  of Shadows (which. and have d ecided on a casting art to begin with. "How do I go farther? Isn't there a period between Beginn er and Advanced?" The answer is. what you didn't do. Using your Boo  of Shadows you try something. move on to another spell.Caster Type: Necromancer Purpose: Strength A Necromancer. In this case. a Necromancer does to o. could be to rob their strength. all you have to do is give it a name. death essence is replacing the stol en life force. and write down what you thin  went wrong/right and improve on it or. so things such as using the Fir e element or calling on God or Zeus are out of the question. record the r esults. when satisf ied. record the procedure. the target will become wea er and the Necromancer becomes stronger by supercharging their energy reserves. While draining (som e would say "forcing out") life force from a target. of course. To get strength then. To turn this abililty into a bona fide spel l. Necromancers wor  wit h Death Essence. li e "Life Drain". wor s only with death. . so now the question is "How do I get strength through death?" Wel l. This then. is the Life Drain spell. It will not happen ag ain. the Necromancer fills their hand with death essence and uses it to switch with a target. In this way. in a nutshell. Part Three: Advanced Occult Magic .

Unli e a Sorcerer.

Having this benefit. . sometimes a demon is the only force necessary to rectify a situation. Demons.treachery and subtle destruction. as opposed to standard spells. have in telligence and power that can wor  in a multitude of ways and can change methods without di rect instruction from the caster.

Though never able to reach a level of control over the elements that compares with a dedicated Elemental magician. very little is availa ble without dedicated study. the Blac  Mage can employ draining spells an d spells of harm that will ta e the magical and/or life energies of a target and add it t o one's own reserves (this does not mean that a Blac  Mage can steal your soul or shorten yo . Blac   Mages tend to be fiercely fond of using the Elemental class of magic since it represents th e quic est and most effective form of physical destruction available. With the exception of Earth. however (and than fully). Using a Fi re Elemental. Another one of the arts that is sapped of it's unique abilities is Elemental magic. By learning t he basics of the use of Death Essence. inste ad of Elemental magic. but it tends to be far more forgiving and accessible to other caster types. and bind them into one cohering magic form. The final borrowed source of a Blac  Mage's ability is based in the use of Necro mancy. so it will never recommend that you use an Elemental Servant for such purposes). are not the only source of power for a Blac  M age. Enchanting is used. among the four elements. but still is a casting ab ility worth mentioning. the conjuration instructions of which can be found at Spirit Online. If a Blac   Mage were simply trying to curse someone. t hey are capable of tapping the vampiric and draining powers of Necromancy. Fire. is a classic among these casters. Also with Enchanting. a Blac  Mage can create a "spirit" to go and harrass/destroy/harm a selected target (alt hough the Spirit Online lin  is White magic based. but often. One of the landmar  abilities of a Blac  Mage is to be able to ta e different sp ells from different casting types altogether. Though the raising of bodies or entities is an ability far above a Blac  Mage. some Blac  Mages stu dy hard enough that they are eventually able to use the rudimentary level spells of Elemental Magic. This type of magic is based in Enchanting and will probably not be the strongest ability of a Blac  Mage. the elements are usually mastered at the mos t basic level by a Blac  Mage simply for the purpose of being able to use them for unlea shing chaos.Demons. Necromancy is infamous for two things: raising undead minions and vampiric spell s. Very little from Elemental magic is accessible to a Blac  Mage. Blac  Mages use this to enhance their normal operations. this would be the art of choice.

but  nowledge of it's existence forms a ba se for the Blac  Mage's studies. as with every distinct caster type. there are a few spells available to a Blac  magician that are truly and uniquely for that caster class alone. much li e death essence. Using devices such as Holy Water. and occasionally God himself intervenes on behalf of the Cleric to sort matters out with the power of divinity. can perform such a tas  with a holy strength. the sheer presence of a holy servant of God. While not constituting a total immunity. Done with true compassion. a Cleric's hea ling is often instantaneous. It ithe power to call God himse lf to directly act in a situation. the magical immunity of a prayerful Cleric is a common attribute. Clerics must be fondly familiar with the Bible to be able to banish a demon but. Angels may assist the Cleric in a infinite variet y of ways. the hi gher their immunity to direct magic seems. Sometimes. a solid faith. Another rare but common power of the Cleric is their seeming ability to ignore t he effects of many spells. The demons which have been summoned by a Conjurer often can be dislodged from the earth sphere by the holy presence of a Cleric. Exorcism is a power that was often used by medieval Clerics. though not often. such as a dedicated Cleric. It suggests rituals intended to  eep the Conjurer pure so that the evil of demons cannot ta  e hold of whoever may conjure them. The Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage comes from a Jewish mystical tradition aimed at the personal purity of a potential Conjurer.

Fol  Demonomancy is the final method used in the modern age. however. with some being recorded as complete successes. such as your health. and whatever else can be mustered to resist the maelstrom of a demon' s entrance to the physical plane. symbols. money. This mish-mash has had mixed results throughout history. The requirements change. The theory in this method is that humans and demons are on the same side -. althou gh trades of this nature are generally unacceptable in Satanic conjurations and fall more appropriately into the "Fol  Demonomancy" class.

Each of these methods involve a great deal of thought. patience. time. conc entration. and wisdom. . The Conjurer must immerse themselves in the study of Demonology until they are fully equipped to grapple with the unseen evil in the ethereal atmosphere and bend it to their will.

A "tric -of-the-trade" in using fire energy is to withhold as much as you can. as opposed to refining the same amount of power for maximum effect. Air can be soft and slow to cool down a tired magician. there is no secret to the function of Elemental magic. and conversely it can be raging and concentrated to destroy structures. in that raw p ower is the preferred method of spell casting. or to create mini-twisters. as the name suggests . The elements of concern are Fire. the elements. in th is case. It can be used to cool (or warm. Elemental magicians are concerned with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fire: Li e a magical magnifying glass. Air is most often used to ma e life easier. deflect projectiles or to relocate object fo rcibly. and then release as much as possible all at once in a concen trated burst-stream. Quite simply.The Four Great Powers The Elemental Magicians approach to magic is much li e a Sorcerer. I will attempt to describe at length what the functions of these respective elements are. As a quic  addendum to the preamble: Keep in mind that the Elemental magic syste m described here (and throughout The Library of Knowledge) is literal.

The manifestations are extremely varie d and radically alter whatever they affect. and in lesser forms to cause ground to cave in.Earth: Earth Elemental magic is very odd. Earth and Wind equals a sa ndstorm. The tric  to using Earth is to combine it with another element. to become uncooperative to an adversary. to cause earthqua es. in its most powerful fo rm. Earth and Fire equals hardened clay (wh ich . Earth can be used.

Lastly.can be pre-shaped). though often called "The Element of Life". Water is also used to quench fires. . to cause rain. The drawbac  of Earth. to cause whirlpools. to feed dying plantlife. It can be used to turn dirt into quic sand. or to  i ll overthriving plantlife through deprivation. Water: Water is the quietest of the elements. or even a local flood. however is that it is extremely rare to find an Elemental magician who has anything more than passing control of it. though no less powerful. is also quite capable of ending life if pres ent in inappropriate amounts. Wa ter.

it represents active energy. the pow er of healing. etc. or at least have access to. This page will not ma e sense unless you understand. at length. Instead of the base use of fire as an actual element. the major uses of the four elements and then explain a highly refined form of Enchan ting affectionately called "Wishcraft". "Fire" to an Enchanter means that one is trying to infuse the qualities a ssociated with fire into an object or being. an Enchanter must (true to their trade) enchant something for the true target to ab sorb the spell from. Inner Fortitude. Rapid Healing. Aggressiveness. While holding the ring. Two good ones are: The Mage Page: Correspondences or Ludvig' s Tower: Commonly Used Spell Components Fire: The Enchanter approaches "fire" from a vastly different angle than any other art . does not cast fire to obtain the warmth or destructive properties of fire. as does the metal gold. Strength. Health. The list is virtually inexhaustible. warmth. etc. Courage . a mundane ring can be made into a ring of healing. a table of correspondences. esp. The Enchanter would ta e this ring to a place where they could concentrate. strength. a ruby stone set in gold would be ideal. but rather uses "fire" as a title for an ideal o r notion of being. and would hold it. The Enchanter. and well-being would be channelled into the ring so that the bearer of it would receive the aforementioned benefits. Usually a piece of jewellery is used. The Enchanter s hould be . casting fire to set objects ablaze. All of the gemstone and metall urgical correspondences must be adhered to when preparing to enchant (so don't cast fire into a lapis lazuli stone). Water: Water is the basic element of life on planet earth. Water is used mainly for three purposes: To defend against other magician. The mainstay of Earth is the ability to bestow endura nce. spirituality. Notice that the attribute of strength is present in the element o f Fire and Earth. defiance. Their strength through fire enchantment would be quic . pea ce. an d would fade as quic ly as it came afterwards. or. Air can be used to increase speed as well. The difference between the two applications is as follows: If strength we re bestowed by using the element of fire. strength. endurance. divining. passive psychism. conversely. and as a result. It is possible. defence. the speed of time itself. with the element of Air. Earth strength. Eart h is a slower and more stable form of enchantment which allows the user to reap benefit s far longer afterwards than any other element (supposing any other element was cast w ith equal or lesser strength).intelligence. be used offensively. powerful. even if the y were not before. quiet power. to tu ne your spirituality. In Enchanting. it is possible for an Enchante r to "bestow magic" on a person who is not naturally a very s illed magician (or a ma gician at all). a person would become strong. immovability. It is the healing source tha t regenerates the body and refreshes the mind. Air is a very versatile elem ent. while not actually referring to the physical movement or di sruption of the ground. an En chanter . but rather to  eep and st rengthen existing ones. muting. Earth: The powers of earth. By the presence of this element. healing. to t urn a normal mundane into a low-level Mage by increasing their control over their own mind an d the minds of others. it carries the following attribu tes: Calmness. and one-sided adaptab ility. quietness. power. water is a  ey device. firmness. stability.

To be used psychically or to tune spir ituality. water can be used to re-open bloc ed energy channels within the body. it th e accumulation of all the elemental powers ( nown in massed form as Ether). La stly. Wishcraft: Wishcraft is a different spin entirely. a sphere is made around the caster which allows only their own energy to permeate the barrier. Essentially. as a healing device. Water is a passive but powerful force. one would find/create a reflecting pool and bless it with the power of water. This is distinctly different from using the individual elements in one major way: the individual elements focus on performing one *tas *. A g oal may .casts a globe of water energy around another magician to stop the in/out flow of energy from that magician. which is sent out to perform a purpose. The art of Wishcraft is a subdivision of the abilities of an Enchanter allowing the greatest flexibility in purpose. but an et her cluster under the influence of Wishcraft is sent out to accomplish a *goal*. To protect.

and that is what ma es it such a unique s ill. Wishcraft simpl y collects a sphere of the four elements. But. all of which conflict with each other).entail many tas s. implants a full purpose in it. to qualif y this ability on an equal level with the other elements. an ether sphere which has been releas ed under the influence of Wishcraft is not nearly as powerful as a single concentrated el ement and is very difficult to produce in the first place (since it requires the storage o f not one. but four elements at a time. and lets it float aw ay to perform a duty. .

no bandage is . healthy state.The Touch of Life In advanced healing we try to step beyond the the normal cantrips. During a binding. Aligning of a wound ta es less time but more energy. This can be done through a number of methods including (w hat I've termed) Auric Transference and the more refined art of Auric Healing. Cleansing is to basically ensure any negative energis removed from the wound. Auric Transference is when the Healer will sacrifice his/her own energy and strength to bind the etheric wound. We also attem pt to learn how to avoid sacrificing our own energy or aura to heal ensure the wound doesn't reopen. close .The relaxed field can then be manipulated bac  into a normal. the etheric body becomes misalig ned and small fissures begin to open up. No matter what view one ta es on healing most agree that the outer etheric/auric or simply put "non-physical" body ta es injury along with the physical body too. It 's believed that when physical damage is incurred. I will explain both the methodology and processes of healing. natural state and cycle. The basics behind aligning is that you create enough energy to cause the other field to become supple and soft (this wi ll actuacreate a noticeable heat). My two preferr ed processes are binding and aligning. These etheric wounds heal much slower and sometimes not at all (often the cause of chronic or reoccurring pain). the caster must decide which pto use. less simple s ill. During Auric Healing the caster draws elemental energy into themselves and then expels it to use in the binding process. chants and sp ells to reach the true mechanics and s ill involved in the art of healing. Once it's decided which method is to be used (I advise the latter as it is less taxing on your own energy supply). This is t he Healer's purpose: to realign and bring harmony to this etheric damage so the physical bod y can heal more efficiently. Most Healer's start at this level until they learn to channel energy and move on to Auric Healing. and has the same purpose -. Because during aligning you actually fuse the field together. energy (preferably channeled energy) is used to cleanse. This method can be both taxing and dangerous if you don't  now when to stop. as well as some of the abilities one can u se in this art. and then bind or "bandage" the wound. The binding of the wound is visualized much li e bandag ing aphysical wound. so this should only be used oyou've learned to channel energy into yourself. s Auric Healing is a much finer.


Pendulums can be useful in finding dam aged areas in the auric field. life. Another s ill the healer can use is converting energy. But if while cleansing a wound (for example) you expel red energy you can more effectiv ely brea  and dispel negative energy and physical bacteria. . it is best to getas much practice healing and drawing elemental energy before at tempting draining the life from a target. Heal ers are probably one of the most needed individuals. and harmony. or muddier coloured. People who can see the aura will notice mar s or "stains" on the field. This leaves the target weand the caster proportionally stronger. elements. Moveme nt of the hands can aid with this. and then use your mind to see the movement of the field. In these days when new diseases seem to spring li e wildfire. yellow. As the s ill is not simple to learn. and violet. If you cannot see the aura. green. etheric body. so too can they channel energy out of a target. *NOTE* To efficiently manipulate a field you must allow your field to co me into contact with it. These stains are sights of damage to the ethe ric bodies or sights of physical pain. This is the way you will find your wound to wor  on closing. and the principles of truth. these ap pear blagray.needed. For exampif you just channel white energy and then expel it there is no special ized strength. This can be done either with sight or touch. The etheric stainoften feel li e  notted tissue or hard/rough spots and can often ma e you f eel slightly pained or ill. blue. Healers often concern themselves wi th thewell being of others before their own. The same way b lind people can function by feeling their way through things so can you. orange. indigo. Othe r usefuabilities can be clairaudiance and the use of a pendulum. justice. often impart information onto the Healer. The commonly used colour s in healing are red.

The opening of a psychic thread allows the Mage to listen to thoughts. what a Mage does. the people they meet. peaceful. A Mage will  now the instant a truly powerful psychic lin  is formed. the Mage can then concentrate and will find that their own thoughts can quic ly and simply become the thoughts of their target. Magecraft. as a yel low-blue thread of light which extends from the Third Eye of the Mage. with the vision of a Magician. This is because of the highly focussed energy that is supporting the psychic bri dge. This is often seen. . It is li e h aving lived two lifetimes. a Mage must learn to impose his/her will. elated and very God-li e . their surroundings. and the beings they come into contact with(A Mage must be peaceful.

The environme nt then starts flowing through the Mage. Earth and Water.Energy flows through a Mage. but rather only in the spells init iation. with each spell casting. The environment then. The Magecraft system runs on the principle of the four elements: Fire. Unli e many casters who store energy and use it at a later time. Air. A lin  between the Mage and the environment is opened with stored energy. continuously feeds a Mage so that ene rgy is not spent on the casting of the spell itself. If a Mage were to attempt a psychic lin . The Mage filters the energy into what is w anted . A Mage views the entire world as ethereally composed of one or more of these elements. Each of these ele ments also governs different properties. and to turn themself into ethereal "lightning ro ds". the ir stored energy of Air (intellect) and Water (spiritualism) would be used to open a chann el between themself. the Mage uses their stored energy only to initiate a lin . their target.

The real dilemma that mos t people find is that their own bodies come to resemble the very forces they conju re. You have. Necromancers tend to become very fragile in body and in appearance. Their gau nt and .

You don't have to hide in there. meditate. or see  out bodies. . but rather just be present.s eletal appearance eventually progresses to the point that healthy individuals view them as rather frightening or anorexic. enchanted devices/clothing. the whole pile of rings and things are a waste of money. but rather will start off with using the powers of death. is that it "re-al igns" your nature to properly and consistently exude the "death aura". give off these pulses. is in a cemetary. nor a water magi cian fire. as a Necromancer. It performs much the same function as prayer to a Christian. its essence remains on things it has touched or associated with during life. Christians pray. In my opinion (feel free to disagree if you wish). a Necromancer will not be using the living (or Natural) forces aroun d them. etc. A fire magician will not breathe in water energy. You a lso. and feel energized and "in tune" with God again. to initate operations of Necromancy. Necromancers can have their time of solemnity and solitude and come away with ne w focus. but your essence is the essence of death. as a Necromancer. Now. In stead of using an internal source of life. let's expand on that idea. talismans. use the death essence that exudes from your presence. The effect this has on you. This is done by usin g a modified form of the energy channelling lessons laid out in Beginning Occult Mag ic. If you become magica lly impotent. Death forces w ill simply eat up the life forces used in an operation (although it wor s just as we ll). It ta es away the cares of the world and also regenerates your magical power. Conversely. viewing the vestiments of death and the faces of the other people. and sharper concentration. but death energies will initiate and also strengthen the operation at no cost to you . When a living thing di es. A great place to regenerate this ability to pulse out death energies.

A struggling Necromancer who  nows no better may actually be improved by the use of Necromantic vestiments. They'll enjoy it. wood or metal.these vestiments of Necromancy do nothing more than bolster the ego. They may be usefu l for struggling beginners to feel that they have power through the object. I don't wear a nec lace. . one must realise that all these powers are channelled through your own s ill. but this is only beca use the beginner believes it will help. I  now that my power is just as great even without these things. After serious study (supp osing they are studying to improve their art and not just loo ing for quic  and fun magic r esults). but in act uality. or amulet or any sort. give them a Necromanti c ring. If yo u see someone who is having trouble with the art of Necromancy. and it will "give them power".

Power. Necromancers. that their very surroundings will become decayed and ghastly in appearance. Lesser Necromancy is lly just as powerful. the necrotic aspects of Death Essence tends to lea  out into the surrounding area. and the undead is within the grasp of the Necromancer. are very easy to find. you should  now that this covers what is calle not as extreme as Greater Necromancy. This will ta e a wh ile (roughly a lifetime) to understand. Because every operation a Necromancer attempts is based in t he use of Death Essence and the molding thereof. sadly enough. for all of this information. A Necromancer may use their power in any way the imagination can comprehend. so the Necromancer can construct an ethereal space of heightened power. dar ness. "Lesser Necromancy". These. as a Necromancer has. the Mage creates "Node s". due to the vamp iric and parasitic nature of Necromancy. shadow. much li e Mages. d. As an example of casting a Necromantic spell . As a Necromancer. one would use Death Essence. This is because the Death Essence that a Necromancer exudes will per meate their surroundings. the mind can understand and the power can support. Just as a White Magician creates "pure" areas to wor  in. You are not stuc  with a finit e amount of spells. As a Necromancer progresses through the ran s they will find that as they approach the height of their own personal power. but usua  nowledge of a Master Necromancer (ONLY once y you can move on to the last page: Greater . The Necromancer is a secluded sort who is usually unable to consort effectively with other magic types. Anything related to death. To complete the ou have mastered Lesser Necromancy!) Necromancy. This can then be channelled into miscellaneous spells and wor s of Necromancy. are very ver satile in their abilities. Remember. such as to see far away. Now.Now we come to the technique and abilities of a Necromancer. a good idea would be to see  o ut other magicians and use the infamous Draining Touch to ta e their life force and energy from them. is not limited to a certain set of spells and abilities. and the Enchanter has a "Ritual Area". Necromancers: This is not a video game.

As a warning: Lesser Necromancy is more than sufficient for almost every need. Hell. or what I call Hell and Styx. Initially you have found and been taught that the Death Essence is the power of Necromancy. than s to Christianity. This is true. Almost every being will gladly ta e such a trade in an instant. From Hell. chains. Greater Necromancy need only be used in the most extreme situations! This is the overwhelming power of Greater Necromancy: The Two Spheres. This is where the most vile o f the Fire sphere are  ept. is well  nown to most people.The Final Chapter: From Flames and Frost Now we get to the truly advanced parts of Necromancy. Fire S eletons and Hell Imps. it is from Hell they come. a Necromancer can call Minor Demons. Be careful when using Hell's fury though. It is also the ether of Hell that allows a ver y s illed caster in Greater Necromancy to cast very un-Necromantic spells such as Fire Bla st. Blac  lava roc . When a Necromancer wishes to draw the most powerful servient en tity they can muster. lava. disfigurement and unspea able pain are all components of that place. some of them will try to tric  a Ne cromancer into ma ing deals that are unbalanced and cost dearly. Greater Demons (though not Satan or Archdemons). To do this. A competent Lesser Necromancer will be hard pressed to ever find a foe so powerful that they must resort to Greater Necromancy. Even though most creatures are willing to be servants for the price of temporary freedom. The accessible content of Hell changes all the time though. for Lesser Necr omancy. torture. The two spheres are Fire and Ice. souls and spirits are confined to a burning inferno. the Necromancer must use ether from Styx to cool the aura of the spirit and  eep them bound to earth. It is where the most powerful of Necromantic creatures . Hell is the abode of already captive and tortured creatures. This is the level that 99% of Necromancers never attain (especially alive). Fire Wraiths (quite a sight). ashes. It is the place wher e evil creatures. so the availability of t hese creatures may fluctuate slightly. so all the Necromancer must do is promise a brief time of re laxation from the pain in exchange for services. acidic and burning rain. This is an exhaustive list (as far as I ca n tell). Styx is the second of the spheres. fire. demons.

Whereas Hell is full of sensatio n (albeit . Wraiths. Creatures such as Undead Servitors. and omino us nothing. Grim Reapers (there are many of them) and Death himself a re available with enough coaxing and s ill. Shadows. dead trees. Necromancers draws the most powerful entities available to t hem (not excluding Death). mu ch li e the creatures of Hell: They want to live again. From here. the creatures of Styx are not always servient. cold swamps. Styx i s the abode of Death himself. It is a cold place of silence. Unli e Hell. Spectres. It is the place of whispers. chill. mental pain and loss. grief. cloudy s ies. however. barren ground. The creatures of Styx have a desire. Ge ists. Death Steeds.lie.

Ta e ad vantage of these bizarre quir s. and to interact with their enviroment. as in most things in the world. The same goes for calling Rea pers (or some types of Steeds). for instance .painful). the art of Necromancy has been covered to the fullest extent possible (without r evealing anything that one must learn of their own accord). As a last piece of advice on Greater Necromancy: Hell and Styx. In this case. By the time a Necromancer reaches this level. servitors. with the dispensing of this  nowledge.. demons and s eletons to sing their cacophony i f ever you totally master Greater Necromancy. there are always exceptions to the rules. On that day the world will end. Now. Styx is greviously lac ing of sensation. Sometimes.. ghouls. Th is is the bargaining tool of the Necromancer in this case. occasionally surprise me and spontaneously ma  e bizarre creatures available for summoning. They are totally Stygian and therefore cannot be boun d using Hell power. Y ou do not always need to use ether from the opposite sphere to bind a creature to earth. one has very little true opposition. t hough choc  full of standard creatures. Death must remain in his own element. If one was to call Death. I call to a close the realm of Necro mancy. since they come along infrequently. these creatures do not eve n seem li e they belong in that particular sphere. t hough I have found that the method usually wor s. learning Lesser Necrom ancy and then learning Greater Necromancy. . I'm sure. a Stygian c reature can be bound to earth to perform the Necromancer's will. Using Hell's ether. Now I'd li e to avoid confusion about binding Hell or Styx creatures to earth. but they appear nonetheless. First. wraiths. Call the zombies. using Hell essence would be very bad. imps. being able to tell how to summon a creature will be second nature instead of a mystery (as it may seem now to some readers). and therefore s hould be "bound" using only Death Essence or Styx power. The creatures of Styx want to be on earth again simply to be able to feel.

G od is . one wonders where the Sa tanist stands on this subject. w ish themself to be the highest entity in the universe. This has its complications th ough. or some grand entity thereli e. as is becoming more and more apparent in scientific circles (especially in the d ifferent sub-disciplines of physics). If the first is true. relying on a chemical soup of un nown composition and mere chance to cause sequence after sequence of minor change over a span of millions of year s to produce everything now seen. most people would not wish to be bound by the rules that God is. With a philosophy li e this one would. We are solely for the purpose of worshipping God the Creator. in the Satanic view. why does entropy exist? This saving g race affords the Sorcerer almost all the powers of a full Conjurer without having to undergo all the same purifications.Sorcerers that ma e heavy use of conjuring are far from rare. somehow. the Sorcerer turns their magic outward to create changes around them. and all of the Kings of the Demonic Hierarchies are inaccessible to the Sorcerer. The purity of the nodal environments made by a White Mage allows t hem to sufficiently amplify their power enough to perform spells which are slightly out of their category. One method used by White magicians is a Wicca technique called " The Cone of Power". Details of this procedure can be found at many different web sit es and should not be too hard to hunt down (I'll provide a lin  if someone ta es the ti me to point a good one out to me). these healings are not nearly of the same caliber as a Healer.f course. but they are none theless effective. so does a White Mage from Healing.

More often than not. It  eeps the purity of White magic while halting a problem at the source. These are not offensive spells of the same cl ass as Blac  Mages.The last landmar  ability of a White Mage is the ability to help those around th em. no damage is done to the target. and a host of other blessings that can improve the life of themself or someone e lse. obviously. This is the acceptable use of "offensive" magic by a White Mage. do have very rare moments when th ey are allowed to use "offensive" spells. though primarily defensive casters. While being offensive and ta ing proactive measures to halt another's spell. happiness. . they use their unique powers of prayer and blessing to increase the success. can bless their objects and ma e them somewhat enchanted in that way. This sort of spell would be one of the rare occassions when a White magician is strong enough to cast a Mute spell on the powers of an aggressive and persistent magica l attac er. The White Mage can create nodes of blessing in another person's home to br ing them good luc . but rather forms of magic that halt an attac  from its s ource. or general well-being of those around them. A White Mage is dedicated to helping humanity and ensuring that people around them are benefitted by their presence. The final aspect of White magic that should be mentioned is the fact that White magicians.

I shall tell the rule.The Challenge of Mind "Wizardry is the type of magic that is intellectually based. forget the m. Meditate. and then jump off and cast spells all the time. do spell research. To ma e a spell wor  you must have the spell completely in your mind. and occasiona lly brea s them. please read on. So to paraphrase. you have an interest in Wizardry. Easy to understand. Simple. casting it in your h ead as you are casting it in the physical world. Wizardry is more focused on magic as science as opposed to magic as religion. drawing on elements not identifiable by modern science. Wizardry basically has three rules that can quantify how to ma e spells and magi c wor  for you. Inside .

A Wizard s spells are based around logic. KNOW. The saying What would you do if you had the power? ta es on a very personal and significant meaning when applied to Wizardry. and foremost. Knowledge gives the wizard purpose in an uncertain world. if I research a spell that protects me from evil and another wizard researches a spell that protects him from evil. This des troys a lot of people s desires to wor  magic. he ventures into places that even the bravest men would run from. remember that the magic and  nowle dge are what gives your life purpose. Knowledge holds the universe togeth er. Alw ays remember that  nowledge and wisdom is power. For  nowledge. lo. They thin  that having a few feeble spells ma e s them the smartest fol  in the universe. You get out of Wizardry what you put into it. Another thing that is significant to Wizardry is  nowledge. even though the end result of his casting and my casting will be the same. Now I m going to give you a few fi nal bits of advice to help you through the initial difficulties that most wizards fa ce until they actually use their brains and learn when to cast spells. I said research. Now that we have you up to date on the Philosophy of Wizardry. What this means is that spells are as individualistic and creative as the wizard who researches them. t he means by which he casts the spell. the methods of spell research. Only when you are fully in control of both your thoughts and your heart will the magic wor  for you. But this power comes with great responsibility.

if there is an easier (and sometimes. It is just a question of casting spells when you have to. not because you can. . less expensive) way to accomplis h something without using magic. do wea  compared to the magic of the wise. they give up and say that it is all Gree  to them. There is no rule of Wizardry that says wha t can be done with magic can t be done with elbow grease. Secondly. But remember that this is not so. He who thin s with his mind  nows when to cast spe lls and when not to. You decide which option is what for you.

. Ta e my advice to heart and mind. This gets a lot of wizards angry. They will not go away if you ignore them. But remember. Remember. But the only  nowledge of Wizardry that is most significant is the  no wledge that you collect and earn yourself. Finally. They believe that the purpose of magi cal  nowledge is to be hoarded in towers and chests to rot away to dust long after t hey have passed into the grave. B ut on the other side of the coin. Deal with these threats as best you see fit. and you sh all  now power beyond your wildest imagination. always have half a dozen tric s up your sleeve. But do not be string ent with it. that power without responsi bility is short lived. you get  nowledge. that by sharing  nowledge. bu t deal with them. you now understand the path of Wizardry. earn as much magical  nowledge as you possibly can.Lastly. Remembe r that you exist strictly for this pursuit. Responsibility is the best magical  nowledge you can learn. Interpret all threats to this pursuit of  n owledge as threats to your pursuit of LIFE. But the best advice that I can offer is that you must always remember that in your pursuit of  nowledge there will be others who will attempt to exploit that pursuit.
