This article mentioned how the Wright brothers would fly a flag made from a sheet above one of their buildings to signal that they were going to try and fly their flier. Men at a nearby life-saving station, walked the mile to watch and attempt to take a picture with Wilburs camera. Before the flight, Orville handed a coin to a boy that he and Wilbur had flipped to decide whose turn it was to be in the flier. There were many descriptions of how the Wright brothers prepared for their flights and details about their many attempts of flying. In this book we found peoples reactions to their flights. It had many quotes and telegrams from the time.

She stitched fabric covers for the wings of their gliders, encouraged and helped them prepare to present to the Western Society of Engineers in Chicago, gave up her teaching position to nurse Orville back to health after a crash, and used her outgoing personality to host their many guests. He included quotes in his responses to us. The quote from Bill Gates about the Wright brothers was one we had not seen, and were excited to include the quote on our website. This is more of a childrens book, but is based on a true story about a boy named Tom, who actually did get to fly in a Wrights flyer. Toms dad worked part time for the Wrights in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
