OBJECTIVE:
-To objective of the Liquid Penetrant Test method stated in this test-memo is for detecting the presence of discontinuities on ship’s structural and non-ferromagnetic machinery parts/components.

2.0 PURPOSE:
-To ensure material soundness and good workmanship. -To satisfy all the customer’s requirements performing NDT inspection.

3.0 TEST EQUIPMENT/CHEMICALS: 3.1Penetrant test kit ( Cleaner, Penetrant and Developer) 3.2 Lint-free cloth/rags 3.3Lighting fixture (if required) 3.4Micrometer caliper / Steel rule

4.0 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: 4.1 Keep test area clear and safe. Ensure that no any worker inside the tank/compartment to be test.
