GHOREPANI - POONHILL YOGA TREK

Ghorepani and Poonhill in the Annapurna Region is the most popular for trekking and Himalayan view in Nepal. The beginner for the Adventure Trekking or with short time who wants to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas is the best suited for the Trekking. Poonhill situated at the height of 3210m from the sea level is the best view point in the Annapurna region to enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayas. Yoga Trek in Ghorepani is the best combination for Trek and Yoga. Morning yoga in the open air studio is really beautiful with the music of nature. You will learn and experience the mountain life. Pokhara is also beautiful city in Nepal to relax and enjoy the beauty.

Itinerary in Detail:
SEP 15: KATHMANDU ARRIVAL Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel. Brief about the Yoga Trek in the evening, prepare for the next day trek. Tour of Swoyambhunath in the evening depending on the arrival time. SEP 16: KATHMANDU – POKHARA Drive to Pokhara which takes some 6 good hours in the beautiful Highway ( the highway is not that wide enough and straight enough so the travel time is long though it is only 200 Km. ). The Highway runs in the midhill region of Nepal along the River most of the time. You can see beautiful terraced farming field, villages and village life during the drive. Arrive Pokhara, the most beautiful lake city of Nepal nestled in the lap of Fishtail and Annapurna. After sometime in the Hotel to fresh up, walk to the Lakeside of Fewa Lake. Start Yoga session in the open field for 1 to 1 and Half Hour. Overnight stay in the Hotel. SEP 17: YOGA - TREK TO TIKHEDHUNGA Early morning Yoga in the Hotel or lakeside. Breakfast in the Hotel and then drive an hour after breakfast to Nayapaul and then start Trekking to Tikhedhunga. The trail today is slight up and follows the river. Lunch on the

way in a small local restaurant where you can choose the meal of your choice though be the taste can local. Overnight in the mountain lodge. SEP 18: YOGA - TREK TIKHEDHUNGA – GHOREPANI Early morning Yoga in the Hotel premises or open ground around. After breakfast trek to Ghorepani (2850 m). The first two hours walk is steep up. Lunch in Banthanti .After the lunch the trail is gradually up in the jungle of Rhododendron which is taken as one of the biggest jungle. Overnight in the mountain lodge. SEP 19: GHOREPANI – TADAPANI Early in the morning climb up to the Poonhill (3210 m), the most visited sunrise viewpoint in Nepal. It takes about an hour to reach this magnificent view tower from where you can enjoy the sunrise over the Himalayan ranges including Annapurnas (Annapurna I - 8,091 m, Annapurna II / III / IV, Annapurna south -7,210 m) , Fishtail (6993 m), Dhaulagiri (8168 m)and other many small peaks . Climb down to the hotel and after breakfast trek to Tadapani (2640 m). The day is a bit long but beautiful up and down in the Rhododendron forest. Lunch on the way in Banthanti. Overnight in the mountain lodge. ( Today no Yoga session, you can simply stretch your body and practice simple Asana for the day. The weather is too cold and the morning starts with 1 hour walking for the sunrise ) SEP 20: YOGA - TREK TADAPANI – GHANDRUK Early morning Yoga in the Hotel premises or open ground. Trek down to Ghandruk (1910 m) which is one of the beautiful village in the lap of Annapurnas and the day is a bit short to walk. It is gradually down and takes some 4 hrs only. Enjoy the lunch in Ghandruk village and a beautiful sight. In the evening you can walk around the village, visit the local museum, Annapurna conservation Project’s headquarter. Overnight in the mountain lodge.

SEP 21: YOGA - TREK GHANDRUK - NAYAPUL – POKHARA Early morning Yoga in the Hotel premises or open ground. Trek back to Nayapul / Bensi and drive back to Pokhara. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

SEP 22: YOGA - DRIVE POKHARA – KATHMANDU Early morning Yoga in the Hotel premises or open ground. Drive back to Kathmandu. Afternoons is free time in Kathmandu for shopping and hang around. SEP 23: YOGA - KATHMANDU FREE AND EASY Yoga in the early morning in the centre. Enjoy the Half Day city tour of Kathmandu City including Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple and Swoyambhunath Stupa.in the morning and then the rest day is free for shopping and to explore on your own. SEP 24: DEPARTURE Yoga in the early morning in the centre. Free time for last hour sopping before departure to your country with fond memories of Himalayas, Trekking, Yoga and Nepal.

Fitness & Others requirements Trek
The highest point during the Trek is 3210 m. and highest point for night halt is 2850m. from sea level. There are chances of altitude sickness above 3000m. and need to take precaution. Walk slowly and drink lots of water helps you during the trek. Prior training or any physical exercise is not required for this trek, but you must be ready to walk ups and downs in the midhill Nepal. Trekking is in the jungle, rough terrain and mountains so, good trekking and hiking boot is required. September is not very cold season, but Ghorepani is cold so must prepare for the weather about zero degree Celsius or slightly below. Couple of sets of warm clothing is required and loose dress for the Yoga. All meals will be served in the basic restaurant of the lodges and many international meals are available though Nepali meal is recommended. Refund and Cancellation: If you want to cancel or postpone the trek after you confirmed, USD 50 will be charged as administration as will be refunded the rest of the amount for the cancellation, before September 01st, 2013.
