Freeholder Brendan Gill Votes in favor of $300,000 Clark Street Bridge Rehabilitation
Newark -- Essex County Freeholder Brendan Gill announced today that he voted to support the $300,000 rehabilitation of Clark Street Bridge over Toney’s Brook. This funding comes from the New Jersey State Transportation Trust Fund, and are part of the distribution of funds related to the 2012 Local Bridge Funds. “It’s great that we’re moving forward with this.” Gill said of the initiative. Glen Ridge is one of three Essex municipalities receiving State dollars for infrastructure maintenance and renovation. “One of my duties as freeholder is to ensure that projects like these move along smoothly, and without delay. I’m glad to have voted in support of this budget insertion, and it’s good to see tax dollars coming back to the fifth freeholder district.” The project is funded by a grant from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund. The New Jersey Department of Transportation has dedicated $25 million in the Fiscal Year 2012 Transportation Capital Program for local bridge projects.

Brendan Gill represents the municipalities of Montclair, Belleville, Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, and Nutley on the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders. For more information, visit BrendanWGill.com or essex-countynj.org/freeholders ###
