GILL APPLAUDS ESSEX COUNTY ROAD PROJECT IN NUTLEY THAT WILL MAKE DOWNTOWN SAFER, MORE ACCESSIBLE

FRANKLIN AVENUE PROJECT WILL BENEFIT LOCAL BUSINESSES MONTCLAIR Essex County 5th District Freeholder Candidate Brendan Gill today applauded an important county road project that will make Franklin Avenue and downtown Nutley safer and more accessible to automobile and pedestrian traffic. Franklin Avenue is a destination for people in Nutley and the surrounding communities, stated Gill. It is critical that we take care of it and ensure it remains a vibrant and safe place for families to shop, dine and enjoy the town. I applaud Essex County and the workers who braved the heat wave to make sure downtown Nutley remains a strong center for commerce and the community. Gill, who formerly worked in the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), has a record of prioritizing infrastructure improvements in local communities and has vowed to fight for increased investments in Nutley and the surrounding Essex County towns. This project will spur business by making local restaurants, shops and services in downtown Nutley even more accessible to the public. As a Freeholder, I will work to prioritize improvements to roads like Franklin Avenue and work with municipal leaders to modernize Nutleys streets, concluded Gill. Gill was born in Belleville and raised in Montclair where he lives with his wife, Alixon, and son Gabriel. Prior to serving in his current role as State Director to U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg, Gill held positions with NJDOT and Congressman Bill Pascrell, where he worked closely on local road and infrastructure projects that have benefited Essex County towns.

Essex Countys 5th District towns include Belleville, Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, Montclair and Nutley.
