An itemized cost statement is on page 2. All costs incurred for this Special Election are the responsibility of the county and are paid from the Auditor’s Office budget.

Cost Information Total Cost: $244,904.14 Cost Per Vote: $4.05/vote

Turnout Information Turnout at Polls: 40,955 Absentee Turnout: 19,536 Total Turnout: 60,491 (38.8%)

This statement is given pursuant to Code of Iowa section 47.3 par. 2 which states: … The county commissioner of elections shall certify to the county board of supervisors a statement of cost for an election. The cost shall be assessed by the county board of supervisors against the political subdivision for which the election was held.
