There are two types of vision. One has to do with the product of your purpose and the other has to do with guiding you or others around you to destination. One of the promises from God is that you will dream and have visions by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. (Joel 2:28). Once you have discovered your purpose, vision is what you can see and then you start to make your way to that destination. Its the summation of who you are and what you stand for as you accomplish your purpose. When God shows you your purpose and you see an image, which is often in the future. There are series of small steps you will need to take in order to get there. Sometime these come in visions and dreams. It is impossible to run without Gods help. You will need to check and ascertain your direction. Psalm 127:1 (NKJV) Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. ( Jer 29:11, Ps32:8, John 14:26). You must write down your vision and make it easy for others to understand and run with. It may take some time but it will happen. (Habakkuk 2:2-3). It must be so easy to understand that whoever reads it will be able to understand it and follow it. This is crucial to the success of any vision. You must plan for your vision. Many make the mistake that because God has given them the vision, they dont have to do anything. Luke 14:28 makes it clear that you must plan for things and have a good idea of the cost before embarking on it. You must study towards your vision and keep yourself informed so you can be at the cutting edge of what you are called to do. You must also be sensitive to changes and opportunities. These will be on-going till you arrive at your destination. Jesus gave us a good example when he said; my will is to do the works of he who sent me and to finish. (John 4:34, John 17:4). Apostle Paul also unequivocally stated he desired to finish and he actually declared he finished. (Acts 20:24,2Tim 4:7). My prayer is that you will finish well in Jesus name. In order to do that, you will need to be connected to the true vine. Jesus made it clear that without him we can do nothing. We need to have the continuous juice from our source in order to be alive and to bring forth fruits. Stay connected to your boss, listen to him and do what he tells you. That way, you will finish well. Shalom.
