Meet Adam Motzko
Adam Motzko Candidate for Treasurer of the Minnesota College Republicans Adam Motzko is a junior at the University of Minnesota, where he studies finance and applied economics. Adam is an enthusiastic member of the College Republican chapter at the U, where he just recently won a write-in campaign to become a Representative of the Minnesota Student Association. Adam was also recently named the Minnesota State Chair for the Young Americans for Liberty, one of the fastest growing student groups on campuses across the state, where he uses his capacity to encourage students interested in conservative principles to get involved in the Republican Party. Off-campus, Adam is also an active member of the Republican Party. He has attended his local GOP precinct caucuses since he was just 15 years old and has since had the opportunity to volunteer for candidates at all levels of government, including Michele Bachmann, Tom Emmer, and Marty Seifert. Last year, he was elected to represent the 6th congressional district at the Republican National Convention, where he served as one of the youngest delegates in attendance. Last summer, Adam served as the campaign manager for state Representative Joe McDonald and was able to successfully oversee the fundraising efforts that garnered nearly $18,000 for his race. He organized strategic literature drops and targeted marketing for the campaign. Rep. McDonald won with over a 24 point margin, even in a tough GOP election cycle. As Treasurer of the Minnesota College Republicans, Adam will use his fundraising experience and finance background to raise the resources needed for the organization to be an effective force in the 2014 election cycle. He has developed a comprehensive finance plan for the MNCRs to raise $50,000 over the next year, and he eagerly looks forward to raising the funds necessary for an effective ground game to beat Senator Al Franken and Governor Mark Dayton in 2014.
