Health care consulting specializing in operating and compliance engagements.  Consulting on service start-ups and compliance audits for home health agencies, rehabilitation agencies, and medical offices.  Developing strategic planning for accountable care organizations including cost/claims control as well as integration of Medicare regulations with patient and physician-group needs.  Consulting for and sales of specialized software for medical practices and accountable care organizations. President/Administrator (2005-2012) Forward Rehabilitation of Palm Beach, Inc. (President / Administrator), Professional Touch Rehab, Inc. (Administrator) and Ocean Therapy Group, Inc. Outpatient therapy services for the Medicare population of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties specializing in physical, occupational, and speech services.  Built patient operations in Tri-County area through positive relationships with patients, physicians, therapists, and therapist staffing companies. Two agencies in tricounty area, financial and operational turnaround resulting in sale of agency.  Achieved a financial turnaround of a failing home health agency. Owner wanted to walk-away with $1 million loss. In a year, stabilized operations and created the financial and contractual framework for a $1.6 million sale of the agency. Director of Finance & Controller (1997-1999) EldaCare, Inc. (Outreach Senior Health Services, Inc.), Fort Lauderdale, FL. Company owned, operated, and/or provided services to rehabilitation providers in nine states.  Developed systems to convert 40 CORFs in 9 states from owned to managed facilities including information system design for management services billing.  Managed financial growth of operations from 2 CORFs in Florida to 40 in nine states. Director of Financial Planning (1995-1997) JFK Medical Center, Atlantis, FL. Multi-provider operation with $300 million in net revenues, > $50 million in EBITDA, 1,700 FTEs, six legal entities. Included a medical center, skilled nursing facility, physician group practice, outpatient surgery center, and home health agency. Top 100 nationally recognized facility. Responsible for reimbursement planning for major projects and managed care contracts as well as cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.  Corrected wage index errors at local hospitals to provide an additional $10 million in reimbursement to all facilities in Palm Beach County, Florida.  Corrected prior year Medicare cost reports resulting in an additional $750,000 in reimbursement.  Switched current cost allocations methods to provide an additional $750,000 in Medicare payments.  Developed price sensitivity, revenue enhancement, and square footage studies that provided additional reimbursement of over $2 million. Chief Financial Officer (1992-1995) Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls, WI.  Accomplished a major financial turn-around including a 300% increase in operating profits though service line development, cost containment, and revenue enhancement.  Retooled pricing structure to provide an additional $175,000 in annual reimbursement.  Started home health agency and physician practices to enhancement services and revenue.  Wrote successful federal health care grant proposal in amount of $300,000.
