we had a vision. To create
a safe environment and provide
an enjoyable lifestyle for people
who choose to make Ashmere
their home. To achieve this, we
have thoughtfully invested in our
buildings and more importantly,
our staff. This ensures that every
Ashmere care home provides quality
accommodation, a quality level of
care and an enjoyable lifestyle.
To keep our residents fulfilled, all
our homes provide a schedule of
activities and games. Our staff are
trained to encourage everyone to be
as active as possible, whether it’s
joining in one of our afternoon activity
sessions, or taking a minibus trip to
a local attraction. Also with modern
well equipped bedrooms and well
maintained gardens surrounding all
our homes, there’s always a place to
catch a quiet moment too.

With daily games and activities
we keep everybody thoroughly
occupied. In many of our care
homes we even open our doors to
the local community by organising
‘lunch clubs’, this gives our residents
the opportunity of making even more
new friends. Additionally, to really
make a home from home, we have
pets too. Quite simply, at Ashmere,
we care.
 Activities and hobbies form
the basis of life at Ashmere.
All of our homes have a thoughtful
schedule of indoor and outdoor
activities and games designed to
be enjoyed by everyone. In addition
to the homes own facilities, we also
have a wealth of centralised facilities
available to all of our residents,
including a hydrotherapy pool,
jacuzzi, sauna and phisiotherapy
facilities. All of our staff are trained to
encourage residents to be active and
to join in with appropriate activities.

As well as our scheduled
activities, we firmly believe
that new pastimes provide pleasure
at any age. That’s why we actively
encourage the sharing of hobbies,
from painting and drawing to bowling
or music. We also organise themed
evenings, with food and music, to
add that cosmopolitan flavour to
our homes. In addition, to keep our
residents looking and feeling their
best, we have weekly visits from the
chiropodist and hairdresser.

We also have a programme of
summer fetes, BBQs and other
outdoor events that residents can
share with family and friends. And
every home has access to our fleet
of fully equipped minibuses which
we use for regular day trips to local
attractions including garden centres,
shops, museums and art galleries.
We even arrange boat trips from
most of our homes. It’s a wide range
of interests and activities that all adds
up to the Ashmere lifestyle.

Care at each of our homes
is provided 24 hours a day
by our highly qualified residential
or nursing staff. Each home has a
passenger lift and all accommodation
is provided with an electronic call
system, nursing/bath aids and quality
