mn April Cultural Events Calendar CLASSICAL TRIO CONCERT Opera and Ballet Theatre April 11th, 2013, 7 pm Celloist D. Galbadrah, violinist Ts. Bekhbat, piano player B. Oyu will have a joint concert. They will be performing pieces from the highly developed countries of Sweden, America, and Spain including F. Mendelssohn’s “Symphony No. 1” for a triplet ensemble, L. Beethoven’s “Triple Concert” for Mongolian audiences. 19th century German master composers traditionally wrote for triplets, quartets, and eight-person ensembles, and classical musicians adopt their style and added their own talents and ideas. During the performance, famous American conductor Brad Cawyer will conduct the orchestra for G. Verdi’s “La Forza Del Destino” orchestra. THE SHAMAN VISION Exhibition “Pearl” art gallery April 7-14th This exhibition includes about 20 works from artists M. Uranberkh, D. Bulgantuya, T. Nurmaajav, Ts. Bolor, D. Soyolmaa, J. Bolortuvshin, D. Badam, B. Codnomdorjaa, Z. Tumenjargal, B. Nandinerdene, and Ts. Davaanayam. This exhibition is a follow-up to previous showings in New York and Seoul around the theme “Mongolian vision”. The exhibition shows works about Shamanism and Mongolian traditional customs through modern art. During the exhibition opening a documentary film team from the USA will be interviewing the artists for their film on shamanism. Jargalsaikhan’s Show April 5, 7th Last month on the 27th the award ceremony for the dramatic arts “Blessed Muza” festival prize was held, and National Distinguished Actor B. Jargalsaikhan was awarded

the “Lead Actor” prize. On the Khasar Jagaa stage and on the screen, he has performed many roles, including his “Blessed Muza” 2005 award winning performance in “Tear drop of the Night”. On April 5th and 7th on the stage of the State Academic Drama Theatre, he will perform his famous “My Place” piece. As part of the show “King’s History” and “Love’s Illusion” will also be performed.
