PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY AND GUIDELINES
The following rebates are available to home owners in Idaho for residential energy efficiency measures. Offers apply to residential homes that heat primarily with Avista electric. Water heating offers apply to homes that heat water with Avista electric. Please see descriptions for complete rebate requirements. All programs are subject to change and request for rebate must be submitted within 90 days of job completion. Offers apply to new construction homes. For improvements on existing homes please refer to the Idaho Home Improvement Rebates form.

HIGH EFFICIENCY EQUIPMENT GUIDELINES
Air Source Heat Pump (ducted)
A $100 rebate is available to Avista electric customers for the installation of a central, high efficiency air source heat pump of at least 8.5 HSPF (heating efficiency) and 14 SEER (cooling efficiency). (For manufactured homes systems must meet 7.7 HSPF and 13.0 SEER. Please check the box for manufactured on the form.) HSPF verification requires an AHRI Certificate.* Ductless Heat Pumps do not qualify for this rebate.

Variable Speed Motor
A $100 rebate is available to Avista electric customers for installation of a primary heating system that incorporates a variable speed motor.

Water Heater
A $30 rebate is available for installation of an electric water heater. For an electric tank type of 50 gallons or greater, the EF (efficiency) must be 0.93 or greater. EF verification requires an AHRI certificate.* Tankless and heat pump water heaters do not qualify for this rebate.

* AHRI Certificate (Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute: www.ahridirectory.org/) This certification confirms the HSPF (heating seasonal performance factor) for the heat pumps and the EF (energy factor) for the water heaters. This information can be located at the above website or by the contractor who installed the equipment.

IDAHO ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
s The rebates listed are applicable to new construction single and multifamily residences (up to a fourplex), including manufactured and modular homes. s Rebates are not available for seasonal or recreational homes; homes must be primary living residence. s Only new equipment qualifies. s Primary fuel used for space heating must be Avista electric service to qualify. s Primary fuel used for water heating must be Avista electric service to qualify. s Rebates will not exceed 50% of the actual measure cost. s Rebates are paid directly to homeowner. s Request for rebates must be submitted within 90 days of completion of energy efficiency measure. s Avista reserves the right to verify installation of the energy efficiency measure(s) prior to payment and will coordinate inspection as applicable. s Efficiencies for space and water heating equipment are verified according to the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). s Homeowners are responsible for complying with all applicable codes and regulations. s Avista, and its agents, may upon reasonable notice, request access to customer’s premises after payment, for evaluation and measurement purposes. s Allow 6 to 8 weeks for processing and payment of rebate. s Tankless and heat pump water heaters do not qualify for water heater rebate. s Ductless heat pumps do not qualify for the air source heat pump rebate.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY REBATE AGREEMENT
DISCLAIMERS. AVISTA MAKES NO AND DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE) AND SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REPRESENTATION OR PROMISE WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, OR LABOR REQUIRED TO INSTALL THE EQUIPMENT ON THE PREMISES, OR THE COST OF SUCH EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND LABOR, OR ANY ENERGY SAVING THAT MAY OCCUR FROM THE INSTALLATION OF SUCH EQUIPMENT. Avista is providing funding under this Agreement at the request of the Participant. Because of the variability and uniqueness of individual energy use, it is not possible to predict exact energy savings (if any) that may accrue to any particular Participant. Avista, by providing funding, does not warrant that the equipment will achieve any reduction in energy costs to the Participant. RELEASE. Participant shall release, indemnify and defend Avista from all claims, losses, harm, liabilities, damages and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) of any nature whatsoever arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the installation of measures applicable under this Agreement at the Premises or any material and labor required for such installation. ENTIRE AGREEMENT/APPLICABILITY/ASSIGNMENT. This Agreement contains the entire agreement between Avista and the Participant and may not be modified except by a written instrument signed by both parties. Furthermore, this Agreement will be binding upon the successors and assigns of such parties. Participants may not assign this Agreement without prior written consent of Avista, which consent will not be unreasonably withheld. Avista may assign this Agreement at its sole option. ATTORNEYS’ FEES. If any action is brought to enforce this Agreement, the prevailing party in such action will be entitled to, in addition to any other relief, an award of reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in such action. VERIFICATIONS. Avista has the right to verify equipment installed on the Premises at its option upon reasonable notice to the Participant. These Residential Energy Efficiency Programs are ongoing as part of Avista’s continued commitment to energy efficiency and are subject to change without notice.
