My pledge to you

:
• To always listen to your concerns and do my best to deal quickly with matters that you bring to my attention. I will be honest, open and transparent at all times. I am happy to explain my actions and be accountable. I became an Independent because I felt that national party politics have lost touch with the needs of our local communities. I strongly believe that an Independent voice is needed. I will continue to work hard in partnership with communities, groups and individuals who make a positive local contribution. I will ALWAYS put Richmond FIRST. Stuart has been fighting for a bus shelter in the Market Place and a change to how the buses park and is pleased that the changes have made accessing bus services better in the town.

PARSONS X
Working in partnership with Richmondshire District Council, Richmond Town Council, and the Richmond Business and Tourism Association we have achieved much over the past few years: • • • • • • • CCTV saved in Richmond Our Play Parks have been retained Friary Gardens protected and enhanced New Public Toilets in the Market Hall Public Toilets throughout the Town kept open New pitches and funding for Richmond Town Football Club Flood prevention work on Lennox Avenue

Fighting for the things that matter to you! • The campaign to protect services at the Friarage Hospital is ongoing as is the campaign to protect schools from the cuts being imposed from above.

Dog Fouling There is a growing problem with dog fouling throughout the Town. It is illegal for owners not to clear up after their pets – they could face a fine of £1000. If you see anyone not picking up after their dog please call me on 01748 823456.

THANK YOU
I would like to thank everyone who has been in touch, for all of your positive feedback and support regarding my decision to become an Independent Councillor. You all know my commitment to Richmond and to all of the residents of our wonderful Town. You also know that I will continue to fight for the whole community in the face of devastating cuts in services from the Coalition Government .

The Benefits of an Independent Council:
Independent Led RDC 34 Councillors – 24 wards Member Allowance - £2900 Leader - £7430 Total Allowances - £117,745 Senior Managers - £297,000 Tory Led HDC 44 Councillors - 30 wards Member Allowance - £4297 Leader – £20,412 Total Allowances - £258,017 Senior Managers – £457,000

If the Tories in Hambleton, which Richmondshire Tories seem so keen to copy, really wanted to save the tax payers’ money they could simply have voted to reduce their own excessive allowances instead of wasting a further £250,000 of our money by asking the Boundary Commission to do the job for them….common sense? ‘I have always voted to against increasing allowances especially when council tax needs to be kept low’Local says Stuart Your Independent Candidate
