RATIONALE The new basic curriculum K to 12 requires every learner in Grades 1-12 to read music and apply basic theory through performance based intensive course. To assist the pupil/students understand the curriculum better the school is offering a special program in music starting school year 2013-2014. The program includes vocal and instrumental music to be handled by highly trained music teachers. IMC believes that through the use of Music, students will be able to develop disciple, pride and community awareness. This program will open doors for every student in the performing arts and have the opportunity to experience making music. Engaging the students at an early age will help them support their musical training by offering them quality instruction, instruments and a full range of personal and family enrichment experiences. Increasing the musical involvement of a child will not only improve the lives of every student but their chances for lifelong success. II.
