WE DEMAND Transparency and Accountability - PANY&NJ negotiation with the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation (NYCDPR) to remove the approx. 400 trees. Why NOW?

WE DEMAND Information & Partnership - PANY&NJ has never in the past approached the community or EQA's Idlewild Park Preservation Committee about tree height, or the need to remove or top trees? Why NOW?

WE DEMAND STOP-CEASE-DESIST - We need our wetlands! The wetlands in Idlewild Park provide critical flood protection by serving as natural sponges that trap and slowly release surface-water, rain, snowmelt groundwater and floodwaters. The trees, root mats and other wetland vegetation slow the speed of floodwaters and reduce erosion. Idlewilds trees serve as a natural barrier between our community and JFK airport. The park protects us against some noise and air pollution. Right NOW!
