WELCOME
Thank you for buying Punk and Indie Rock: Slammin Sounds of So-Cal! After growing up in San Diego surrounded by the local sounds of such bands as Blink-182, Unwritten Law, and many others in the punk and indie-rock style, it couldn't have been a more natural fit for producer and musician Dan Diaz to assemble this collection of loops and samples. His goal was to take his years of experience in performing, listening to, and just generally enjoying the genre to write some of the hardest-hitting and most useful rock-based construction kits around. The files range from superfast punk tracks to medium-paced indie-rock pieces, making it an extremely versatile collection useful in many different musical situations. 4.12 GB on disc (1.61 GB of 24bit WAV content) 1,056 WAV loops and hits on disc Construction Kits - 42 construction kits from 81 to 254 BPM in various keys. All of the construction kits contain a full mix and all the elements broken out into individual loops. Each Kit also contains a folder called drum tracks. Drum tracks give you access to the individual elements of the drum loop. You can now mix it however you'd like, or use an individual element separate from the drum mix. Bonus Drum Hits - There is a folder of bonus drum hits in the WAV and Apple Loops folders that are ideal for adding endings to your drums. The root directory of this disc contains a folder for each format.Within each of these three folders are the construction kit folders.The folders names will look like this example: 10 160 Abmaj 10 is the number of the folder in the list 160 is the tempo or BPM of the loops in that folder Abmaj is the key of the melodic elements in that folder Finally, weve included a folder named Xtras which contains a free demo of Abletons Live 6 in both PC and Mac formats.To install just double click on the file located within and follow the installation instructions.

HOW TO USE
Punk & Indie Rock has been formatted in three of todays most popular file types:REX2, WAV,and Apple Loops.With these three formats,you can work with every major sampling/looping device on the market! Every file has been carefully edited to loop perfectly without any complications.Take advantage of the additional info and tagging using Apple Loops with Garage Band, Soundtrack,or even Logic 7. Edit and rearrange your grooves with the REX2 file flexibility.And of course, the industry standard WAV files can be loaded into almost any digital audio or sample playback program. Whenever possible,we have included the exact same material in all three formats.However, due to the nature of the REX2 format, we have omitted the main mixes, and some melodic content not suitable for the rex format but otherwise have maintained consistency with the other two formats. RMX Conversion: We have formatted our REX folder for easy drag and drop conversion into the latest version of the SAGE converter. Simply copy the "Punk - REX" folder to your hard drive, open the "Sage Converter" and drag and drop the entire rex folder onto the sage converter window. Once the process is complete open Stylus RMX in your preferred host and in user libraries locate the "Punk - REX" suite. Apple Loop Users: In either the loop browser in Logic 7 or Garageband drag and drop the entire "Punk - Apple Loops" folder. your entire apple loop library or you can search specifically within this product.
