What an incredible Sunday! Wow! We were blessed to welcome 7 new members – The CORTEZ Family: JAY, ALICIA, J.J., JETT, and STUART –also NATHAN MUSICK and JASMINE MOORE. Let’s be sure and embrace these new FBC members and help them in any way we can as they assimilate into the life of our church. Praise God for adding to our faith family and may this grace compel us even more to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ! God continued to pour out His blessings as Circle Up Sunday gathered up around 130 folks to work on the set of our Easter Pageant. I want to thank all of you who came out and helped. I am especially grateful for Saundra Lengefeld and Tina Summers who are doing an excellent job coordinating all of the volunteers and performers (a mountain of a task!). One of my favorite things about Circle Up Sunday is that young and old and everyone inbetween lends a hand. We work together as the Body of Christ on a giant task that none of us could do alone. It is a beautiful picture of the Spirit working through many to express the Good News of the Lord. I can’t wait to watch it all come together as we reach out to our community telling the story of Jesus. I hope you will be able to come and experience every aspect of Easter 2009 at FBC – Easter Pageant, Palm Sunday, Good Friday Service and Easter morning: HOPE LIVES. It is a perfect time to invite a friend or stranger to visit our church. It is a critical time for everyone to hear why there is reason to have hope in this life and for eternity – Resurrection puts hope in our hearts and purpose for our lives. God is doing some marvelous things at FBC and I’m glad you a part of it – if you haven’t been to FBC in awhile, my prayer is that you will make these Easter events your ‘COMEBACK PARTY’ and a time where you recommit yourself to the life of First Baptist Church

THANKS!! We are so grateful to all who helped us with our yard sale to help with our adoptions fees! We had folks to donate items to sell, others that came and set up all the stuff, and others who actually helped us the day of the yard sale. We are thankful for all who bought something or financially made a contribution. We are very thankful for our church family and we will never forget how so many rallied to help us make our dream come true of adopting from Africa. We will have wonderful stories to tell Maya of how numerous folks made it possible for her to have a family. THANK YOU!! – The Feltons ***** I would like to thank everyone for the cards, visits and telephone calls in the death of my brother, Joe Chick. God bless you all, Lauda Mae Williamson ***** To the First Baptist Church of Hamilton, Texas, We want to thank you with all our hearts for helping Josephine Rogers visit her family in Colorado! We pray that God blesses each and everyone of you! You have truly made one of our dreams come true; you all have shown us that angels really do exist! Thank you again! Love, your family in Christ’s name, The Rogers and Garcia Families CORRECTION...to April calendar. It should read Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on April 9th and 10th.
