After winning the Heartland Conference title last year, the Hilltoppers will enter this season with renewed confidence. This spring will be packed with old rivals, new additions, and titles to defend. The schedule will be released December 2nd on the St. Edwards athletic website, where sports fans can find dates, times and locations to track the Division II athletes as they make their way to this years conference championships. This spring will be challenging. We have a full schedule with the best teams in the region. Last year, we played our best under pressure. This year the pressure is back on and I know we can rise to it again, said Brenda Niemeyer, head coach of womens tennis at St. Edwards. Fortunately for Austinites and tennis fans in the area, the majority of the teams matches will be held on campus. Hilltopper Tennis has High Hopes for Spring

Page 2 The athletic department is particularly excited to release this springs schedule for womens tennis because of the amount of home matches. Whenever the student body and Austin community come to support their sports teams on campus, it adds to school spirit. The womens tennis team is the one to watch this year. From what I have seen in the fall, there is a new attitude, a hunger for success. Last years conference win was a great one and they are ready for more, says Athletic Director Debbie Taylor. After losing three iconic and experienced seniors last year, the St. Edwards University tennis team has welcomed in two new players. Florence Binion from France and Katherine Sullivan from Houston, Texas have already shown promise in their fall season performance.
