This is a summary of the data a CAPE user must provide for the NU-LEC Switchgear Operating System model CAPM-4. Typical STYLE used in CAPE is as follows: Style CAPM-4 Properties General purpose controller style for model CAPM4, suitable for use with all applicable NU-LEC switchgear.
For details of the recloser, refer to the description in the NU-LEC Publication N00-101 (Switchgear Operating System User Manual) and to NU-LECs recloser setting program, Windows SOS. II. Recloser Elements
The recloser contains phase, ground and SEF (sensitive earth fault) overcurrent elements, with separate settings possible for each of up to four operations. Element Ground TCC1 Ground TCC2 Ground TCC3 Ground TCC4 Phase TCC1 Phase TCC2 Phase TCC3 Phase TCC4 SEF TCC1 SEF TCC2 SEF TCC3 SEF TCC4 III. Description Ground operation on 1st shot Ground operation on 2nd shot Ground operation on 3rd shot Ground operation on 4th shot Phase operation on 1st shot Phase operation on 2nd shot Phase operation on 3rd shot Phase operation on 4th shot Sensitive Earth Fault operation on 1st shot Sensitive Earth Fault operation on 2nd shot Sensitive Earth Fault operation on 3rd shot Sensitive Earth Fault operation on 4th shot
There are eight NU-LEC timing curves defined by equations. The following table lists the parameters used for each curve model:

In addition, there are a number of timing curves defined by data points, which are similar to the curves defined for the Cooper Form 4C, as listed below: TCC010 TCC101 TCC102 TCC103 TCC104 TCC105 TCC106 TCC107 TCC111 TCC112 TCC113 IV. When placing a recloser, set the following taps. Only the settings with Internal Name shown in bold are actually used in the Program Model for this recloser. Note: the CAPM 2 and CAPM 4 both use the same program model within CAPE. All currents are set as primary amps or as multiples of another pickup setting. Tap Name

Element Settings
On the element forms, set only the necessary contact logic codes; other settings are taken from the common taps. You can also change the settings from CAPE CG using the forms or using DRAG_CURVE. The new common taps are computed automatically from the element settings. VI. Contact Logic Element
Ground TCC1 Ground TCC2 Ground TCC3 Ground TCC4 Phase TCC1 Phase TCC2 Phase TCC3 Phase TCC4 SEF TCC1 SEF TCC2 SEF TCC3 SEF TCC4
If there are duplicates from other reclosers in the same LZOP, you may add the prefix "CAPM_" , e.g. "CAPM_GND_TCC1". The LZOP LOGIC (e.g. CAPM_TRIP) for all elements is
PHS_TCC1 OR PHS_TCC2 OR PHS_TCC3 OR PHS_TCC4 OR GND_TCC1 OR GND_TCC2 OR GND_TCC3 OR GND_TCC4 OR SEF_TCC1 OR SEF_TCC2 OR SEF_TCC3 OR SEF_TCC4
To prevent an element from tripping the logical breakers in its local zone of protection (LZOP), omit its contact-logic code from this expression. For only the first trip elements, the expression would be:
PHS_TCC1 OR GND_TCC1 OR SEF_TCC1
