Scuba diving gear

Without the diving gear you can't dive. The gear has a lot of things. There is the regulator that is where you breath, also there's the octopus. The octopus is what you use to give another person air in case of an emergency.

The mask is what you use to see. The tank contains air so you can breath, you also need the BCD it stands for buoyancy control device is this awesome vest that the contains the weights, extra pockets and some straps to hold the tank.

Scuba diving rules

You need rules to scuba dive. The golden rule is to never stop breathing, why? When you are diving, your lungs expand and shrink. If you hold your breath you're lunges will explode.

There are many other rules, one of them is never dive alone and always dive with a buddy in case you have an underwater emergency. Another rule is to never go down or up fast because you can seriously get injured. Always remember to equalize the pressure in your ears. These are some of the rules you need to know.

Diving wasn't always the same it all started in the nineties. A boy named Jacques Cousteau. He was born in a small village next to the sea in France. He loved swimming and all the things about the sea.

The way he scuba dived was with his lungs and could spend a maximum time of twenty minutes under water. When he was older, he couldnt spend so much time underwater. So he invented the scuba gear. After his invasion he could spend 45 min under water. Since then, scuba diving has become a great sport.

Scuba dive air may be contaminated so always test your air before getting into the water. To open the valve of the tank you have to open it the whole way and then close it a little bit.

How to get into the water? It depends the technique you use to get into the water. If you are in a large boat the best way to get into the water is to do the giant step that is taking a large step into the water.

This is one way to get in the water that is the back roll

They other way to get into the water from a small boat is by doing a roll, the roll consists on sitting on the side of the boat and rolling backwards into the water.
