This is a specialist electricity information company providing news analysis and comment, market intelligence, forecasts models and databases on European and global power markets. It is also a leading provider of electricity training courses and materials. I was involved in the successful design and building of a customer relationship management database. In order that I achieved success in building the Database, I had to understand the various business areas of the company. I scheduled interviews and worked closely with the various users of the system, so as to have a proper understanding of the requirements of the users and this improved my team working ability. I analysed their current data structure using one of the techniques of a structured methodology SSADM. I also used the Object Oriented design and analysis methodology and this gave me a better understanding of how the new database will function.
