Principal purpose of the post: To drive participation in the Arts Award, to raise its public profile and to co-ordinate Arts Award support and development plans in the North West region as part of Curious minds' Bridge role. Key responsibilities The Arts Award officer is responsible for: advocacy for Arts Award to cultural organisations, local authorities, schools, youth services, community and voluntary sector organisations, and further and higher education working with all members of the Curious Minds team to enable the embedding of Arts Award within the delivery of a wide range of programmes. Specifically working with the Director of Schools Partnerships to embed arts award in our work with Teaching Schools and their alliances. working with the Director of Cultural Partnerships and the Communication Coordinator on communications and events for Arts Award in the North West region, as part of Curious Minds year 2 and 3 universal bridge offer. liaison with Arts Award training agencies and trainers network in the North West region to ensure effective planning and promotion of regional Arts Award training and support.

working alongside the Director of Cultural partnerships to liase with key partners such as Trinity, Arts Council England to maximise the impact of Arts Award for NPO's, Museums and Libraries, Music Hubs and other specific sectors as set out in the year 2and 3 delivery plan for Curious Minds. developing and implementing other plans designed to achieve regional participation targets and goals (notably, trained advisers and young peoples awards) Updating the internal CRM system to ensure the effective monitoring of participation statistics and data.
