ENTERTAINMENT

Shirley Jane Temple bounced into the world April 23, 1928. She became a joyous girl who lived out her mothers dreams by tap dancing around with her charm and fty-six corkscrew curls. Her dimples and wide eyes brought life and hope to the great depression causing fdr to nickname her little miss miracle. She was the star child that kept 20th Century Fox alive; adding her infectious spunk to forty-three lms by the age of twelve. But as she grew older audiences struggled to accept her maturing age which left her to merge into her interest of politics. Shirley is the only person to be an honorary foreign service ofcer for the u.s., just one of many awards presented to her throughout her lifetime, including her very own kid sized golden Oscar. Shes currently retired in Santa Monica, where she dreams about animal crackers and lollipops.

logotype emphasizes the curls and curves of a smile. gives off a young, playful feeling

lettermark uses the idea of closure to capture the tension between the sadness of the depression era with the exuberant happiness that shirley displayed. the circlular forms again alludes to her bubbly persona

symbol: while the world was ipped upside down after the stock market crash, shirley brought light and hope to the people. the

lament is what allows a light bulb to shine; shirleys smile is what brought light/life to the early 1930s with her countless movies (lights camera action). the quality of the lament is childlike capturing how young shirley was, as well as the shape mimicking the curls of her hair, it remains in a circle to keep consistent with the letter mark, so they can be interchangeable
