PCL PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Tacoma Rainiers RH Jeremy Bonderman was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for
April 29-May 5. Bonderman made 1 start for the Rainiers over that period, tossing a season-high 8.0 scoreless innings in Tacomas win
over the Tucson Padres on May 2nd. He surrendered just 2 hits and struck out 7 with 1 walk allowed. The Pasco, WA native is 2-3 with a
3.87 ERA (18 ER, 42.1IP) with 27 strikeouts and 10 walks over 7 starts with the Rainiers in 2013. This season is his first pitching in
organized baseball since his 2010 campaign with the Detroit Tigers. Bonderman underwent Tommy John surgery in April of 2012.
Bonderman is the third Rainiers player to be selected for a weekly league award over the last two weeks. Infielder Nick Franklin was
named the PCL Player of the Week and right-hander Andrew Carraway was selected as the PCL Pitcher of the Week for April 22-28.

RECAP: The Generals lost their 2nd straight game to Huntsville 2-6 on Wednesday. Starter Taijuan
Walker (5.1,7,4,4,2,7,HR) recorded his 3rd loss of the season, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits in 5.1
innings. RH Kyle Hunter (0.2,0,0,0,0,0) and RH Carson Smith (1.0,0,0,0,0,2) combined for 1.2
scoreless innings, while RH Moises Hernandez (1.0,2,2,2,0,0,2HR) allowed 2 solo home runs in the
9th inning. SS Brad Miller (2x4) and 1B Leury Bonilla (2x4, RBI) each recorded 2 of the Generals 6
hits, while RF Julio Morban (1x3) and DH Abraham Almonte (1x3, R, BB) each picked up 1 hit.
OF NOTE: RHP Taijuan Walker allowed 4 runs in 5.1 innings, after allowing only 2 earned runs in

Morban, INF Vinnie Catricala, RH Chance Ruffin, LH Anthony Fernandez.
HITTING FOR THE CYCLE: Abraham Almonte (4x5, 2 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 4 RBI) completed the cycle
on April 27 at Chattanooga. It was the first cycle in Jackson franchise history, dating back to 1998,
when the Generals were known as the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx. But it was the 2nd cycle in 10
days for a Mariners prospect after Carlos Triunfel accomplished the feat for Triple-A Tacoma on
April 17. Almonte hit a solo homer in in the third inning, a bases-loaded triple in the 4th inning, and
singled in the 5th and got his 5th RBI of the evening. After being called out on strikes in the 6th
inning, Almonted lined a 2-2 pitch to right field for a double to complete the cycle.
Tuesdays probable starter: RH Brett Shankin (1-1, 3.43) at Huntsville
RECAP: The Mavericks scored 4 runs over the first 2 innings and held on for a 5-3 win over Visalia
on Wednesday night. Starter Jordan Shipers (2.0,3,3,1,2,2) allowed 3 runs (1 ER) on 3 hits in 2.0
innings, but did not figure into the decision. Relievers Bobby Shore (2.0,0,0,0,0,3), George Mieses
(2.0,2,0,0,0,2) and Dominic Leone (1.0,1,0,0,1,2) combined to hold the Rawhide scoreless over the
final 5.0 innings. Shore picked up his 2nd win of the season with 3 strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless
innings, while Leone earned his save first save of the season with a scoreless 9th inning. 2B
Anthony Phillips (2x4, R, 2B, HR, RBI) led the team with 2 hits, while recorded 4th home run of the
season. SS Chris Taylor recorded his 3rd home run of the season with a 2-run blast with 1 out in
the 2nd inning.
OF NOTE: INF Ji-Man Choi has hit safely in 15 of his last 16 games, including 10 straight games
(.364/16x44, 11 R, 6 2B, 3B, 3 HR, 12 RBI). Since April 20, Choi is batting .343 (23x67) with 17 runs
scored, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs and 19 RBI. Since Since April 9, OF Daniel Paolini has hit
safely in 22 of 27 games, batting .337 (33x98) with 24 runs scored, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs
and 24 RBI. INF Anthony Phillips has hit safely in 23 of 26 games he has appeared, batting .333
(31x93) with 15 runs scored, 10 doubles, 4 home runs, 17 RBI, 3 stolen bases and 10 walks. OF
Jamal Austin has reached base safely, via a hit or walk, in all 30 games he has appeared this
season. He has recorded hits in 22 of 30 games, batting .238 (31x130) with 21 runs scored, 3

RECAP: Thursday night's game between Clinton and Wisconsin was postponed due to rain at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities
Stadium. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Friday. The postponement is the ninth for the LumberKings in less than a
month. Going into league play on Thursday, Clinton and Wisconsin were tied with Kane County with the most doubleheader games played
(10). The LumberKings return home on Saturday, May 11 for the beginning of a 6-game home stand.

RBI and 13 walks. During this stretch he has raised his average from .289 to .370. Henry was selected by the Mariners in the 18th round of
the 2012 June Draft out of Florida International University. The Florida native spent most of 2012 with the Pulaski Mariners of the
