A few years ago Kelly and Julie purchased a CD of the NY Django Festival 2000 and it floored them both. Now they are completely hooked and formed gypsy jazz group Hot House Swing. Nuages. Honeysuckle Rose. Everything I Got Belongs To You. Don Coffman-double bass. it’s infectious rhythm. Ain’t Misbehavin’. (optional violin) A typical concert consists of two sets (1&1/2 hour total) Sample Set: What Is this Thing Called Love. One thing that makes this group stand out from the others is vocalist Julie Davis. Sand Man 12 . Pat Hackett-rhythm guitar.Hot House Swing HHS in a nutshell is Davis and Dow meet Django Reinhardt. Instrumentation: Julie Davis-vocals. Kelly Dow-guitar. Most of these ensembles are instrumental but Julies singing is a perfect fit in this genre and gives Hot House Swing its unique flavour.
