Dear Admission Officers, I am applying for entry to the ABC Master Degree program at XXX University.

My purpose of this letter is to present my general background and to provide the reasons for choosing your university. First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Subash. Since from my early childhood, I was curious about cars and bikes. This paved the way of my future, providing the food for my analytical interest to grow. I was really passionate about mechanical engineering when I learned about the simple machine in high school. So after passing my higher secondary education, I took admission in B.E Mechanical Engineering. Engineering studies further expanded my understanding and knowledge of machines. I observed myself matured enough to rely on scientific concepts and principles. During my U.G course, I have participated in various Industrial training programs such as In-plant training at Sundaram Fasteners, Madurai. In-plant training at DMW Machinery Works, Perunthurai.

In my final year of engineering studies, I completed an academic project on Dissimilar metal welding and its analysis, Steel and Aluminium are welded and are used in the chassis of new Honda accord 2013. Working on my final year project has not only given me a certain set of skills but has also made me to identify my academic strengths and weaknesses and therefore I decided to choose Masters program in Automotive Engineering. I feel that extracurricular activities are as important as studies in estimating a student's overall capacity. I got myself elected as the student chairperson of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) collegiate club. These experiences were very helpful in learning how to work with a team, which I believe is very essential for master studies where I will have to interact with a diverse group of people from all over the world. The hardest part for me was choosing the country and the University. German universities have great reputation all over the world as it delivers International standard quality education. XXX University stands in the leading position in of university ranking. Most of XXX students were satisfied with the teaching quality. I realize the highly competitive demands of the program. I believe that I have the ability to exceed the requirements and to excel at the university. I consider XXX University and especially the automobile engineering master program as a platform to see myself equipped with all that I dream to become in my career. I am certain about what I share here in this letter as I am confident of what I want to be and this letter is an expression of my aspirations. Therefore, I would like to request you to grant me this opportunity to complete my Master in Automobile Engineering.
