This application has been developed with access the back end and visual basic as the front end. In this project the products from various department are taken and there quality is analyzed check whether the product equalizes the company standard. a rapid application technology. The access is mainly used to develop tables and visual basic is used to develop forms and reports. standard deviation and capability index can be viewed as a report is generated by visual basic. This application is developed in such away that process capabilities if blow room and manual winding can be obtained with ease. upper capability level.

This product comes form the Microsoft Corporation. It also supports Open Database Connectivity. Visual Basic 6. It is a graphical client/server application development environment. .server processing.2. which runs under MS-Windows environment. Component Object Model (COM).Server architecture.0 is GUI product. It supports client . The client makes request to the server for data using structured query language. the client interacts with the user and the server process data. ActiveX.

A database server is the key to solving the problems of information management.BACK END MS-Access is very useful for accessing the database to create records. A database server must also prevent unauthorized access provide efficient solution for failure recovery. . It is used as back end tool for the Visual Basic. deleting records. modifying records and it is useful for listing records. All this must be accomplished while delivering high performance.

Cursor location: The cursor location of the database can be set. The modifications that are done in a record in front end can be saved in back end in the table using update command. The record once deleted.

2 Unit testing Unit testing focuses the verification effort on the smallest unit of software design. The system testing include Unit testing.5. While at the same time conducting tests to uncover errors associated with the interfacing. The purpose of system testing is to identify and correct errors in the candidate system. Integration testing and Validation testing. . 5. Bottom up Integration. that is the module.1. Integration testing Integration testing is systematic techniques for conducting the program structure. project the schedule or the user is eager to go directly to conversion. There are two types of Integration steps. 1. Typically. Top down Integration. 2. SYSTEM TESTING 5. The unit testing is always white box oriented and the steps can be conducted in parallel for the modules. Each one is described as follows.

Boundary conditions are tested to ensure that the modules operated properly at boundaries established to limit or restrict processing. The testing.3 Validation testing In these testing. The function or performance characteristic's is confirm specification and are accepted. The local data structures are examined to endure that the data stored temporarily maintains its integrity during all steps in an algorithm execution. Finally paths are tested.1 Unit test Consideration The module "interface" is tested to ensure that information properly flows in and out of the programs unit under test. A deviation from the specification is uncovered and efficiency list is created. All independent paths through the control structures are exercised to ensure that all statements in modules have been executed at least once. The reason for using this testing is described as below.3. which can be carried out in this project is unit testing. interfacing errors have been uncovered and correction testing begins after each one of the two possible conditions exists. They are. 5.5. . software is completely assembled as package.

3 Results The Textile Management System has undergone the unit testing. unit test case begins. reviewed and verified for correct syntax. After the source level code has been developed. since a module is not stand-alone program. The module wise testing is along and it is ensured that the information properly flows in and out of the program. 5.3. .2 Unit test performance Unit test is considered an equivalent to the coding step. All the error-handling paths are tested and found that everything is working well. Drivers or stub software must be developed for each unit test.3.5.

. This same system can be viewed and accessing by more than one user at the same time on different machines connected in the network. The most commonly used implementation methods are pilot and parallel. 6. When one user is accessing the data at one system. the system is set to be engaged and connected in network. 6. This process is usefull in system where more than one user is entertained.2 Paraller Running Processing the current data by more than one user at a time simultaneously is said to be parallel running.6. This process is useful only in system where more than one user is restricted.1 Pilot Running Processing the current data by only one user at a time called the Pilot running process. IMPLEMENTATION System implementation is the important stage of the project when the theoretical design is turned into practical system.

appropriate input media re selected for processing.7.1 FORM DESIGN INPUT DESIGN Input design is the process of converting user-originated inputs to a computer . Once identified. . ANNEXURE 7.based format input data are collected and organized into group of similar data.

Efficient.7. intelligible output design should improve the system's relationship with the user and help in decision making. A major from of output is the hardcopy from the printer. .3 REPORTS Output design Computer output is the most important and direct source of information to the user.

Scope for further enhancement The project title "TEXTILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" is developed successfully from mostly all the modules. The package is developed in such a way that the user can use the package for back up of data at regular intervals. . The very much reduces manual burdens of maintaining the file. A good amount of user friendly features have been incorporated in the system. satisfactory results are obtained. CONCLUSION The computerization of the "TEXTILE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" has been developed successfully in Visual Basic with Ms-Access to fully satisfy the objective set by the user. The further development of this project can be to host this project to the Internet.8. This software has been tested with the test data.
